...or do cartridges just suck? I have tried just about every mod out there and they constantly flood, or don't wick at all. Lately, I've been trying to stick to dripping, but I'm outta my favorite juice, save for these 4 carts I made (blue foam) a while back. It sucks to have it ooze out everywhere on my hands, and usually in my mouth... when I should be vaping it!

Furthermore... it seems like it's gonna be forever and a day to get my stuff from GourmetVapor.com...

No most likely you're not, because, in my opinion, cartridges do suck. I like cartos, specifically Boge LR cartos. They hold a lot more juice and really out perform the carts. I would ditch the carts entirely if I was you. I have like 7 boxes of brand new ones just collecting dust.

And yes, it does seem like forever sometimes when you're waiting on a shipment. Hang in there, it'll come. If you are completely out of juice and that's what you're waiting for you can vape VG, just go to your local pharmacy and pick up some vegetable glycerine. Add a little LorAnn's candy flavor oils if you can find some for flavor(usually about 20%). No nicotine, but it might help get you through until your shipment arrives. Good luck!

That's the main reason I stopped using carts and started dripping or using cartos. Carts were just too much fuss for me and I'm a rather lazy vaper. It sounds like you just need to fiddle with the filler. Too much will prevent the juice from wicking. Too little and the juice leaks everywhere.

Check the PIF thread to see if there is anyone near you who can spare a bottle of juice. Gourmet Vapor is a great vendor, but when they have a sale it can take a few days for it to arrive.

I use the PTB mod and have for a LONG time. The only time i have any problem with it is when I overfill it. A lot of people get by just fine with direct dripping. I have a MAP tank now so those worries are a thing of the past for the most part. I still use the PTB with my tester atty for my DIY liquid when i really want to vape for awhile on a batch to see how much i like it for long-term vaping. My wife still uses the PTB mod and gets by fine with it. Maybe fill it a little less when refilling. Sorry if that doesn't help much.

Most of mine tasted like melted plastic. I have a bunch of filled ones just sitting around. I did get the lowest resistance available, though...

I got some of the LR and some of the standard resistance and they both taste weird to me. They are much better with a sparkling fruity flavor like pear than a musky tobacco flavor though. I still use it once in a while because they sure to provide amazing TH and tons of vapor.

Keiff - what ecig are you using? if you bought a super-mini, then yes all cartridges suck though they a bit better with blue foam stuffing.

If you are using a 510, try precut blue foam stuffing for 510 carts from strictlyejuice.com - super cheap

I prefer cartomizers - soft-cap stuffing cartos for me and some prefer the reservoir cartos you fill with a syringe

Yes, cartridges suck. Been there, done that and won't do it again. I drip and use t-tanks when driving. I am much easier to get along with since I figured this out :)

Re; Gourmet Vapors - huge 50% off sale ends today. They warned when they announced the sale that they would be swamped and orders may be shipping a bit slower than usual. They are also prepping for a vapefest in Utah.

Did you order before the sale or during the sale?

dormouse,

I have both a eGo and Joye 510 (branded by Volcano as an Inferno and Magma). I've had problems with both models. The blue foam I used actually came out of Volcano carts. I'd say the blocks are about 1/8th" x 1/2" and placed into the carts length-wise. I've used over 3 different variants of the PTB mod and the brass (in my case stainless) screen mod. This cart mess is what made me take to dripping. Trying to get the wife on board, but she doesn't want to drip and has seen all the hassles I've had with carts. I'm avoiding a tank system because I'm afraid my "juice-use" will increase exponentially.

I used carts for the first day. Then that evening I went to dripping, and realized the carts sucked. A day later I ordered 1 box of cartos to test. Loved the cartos, and now only use cartos.

Last week I ordered a clearo to test, and a box of CE2's to test. I read so many mixed reviews of each- seems people either love them or hate them. Guess I need to try them myself and see which group I fit into.

Paula,

During the sale of course! I don't blame them at all for the turnaround. I'm sure they got hammered with orders!

K

Keiff - I hope they did too. They have great juice and customer service has always been top-notch with Gourmet Vapors. Are you on their FB page too?

Hi Keiff - 1/8" is way too narrow for a 510 cart. I cut my blue foam the width of the cart, (not just the opening) - almost 3/8" wide. Lengthwise into the cart 1/4" or so works. Guessing I'm the only one who hates cartos?

I didn't like carts either. Either need to top off so offen and I always made a big mess. Luckily I found ECF or I would had been so frustrated and might have stopped using it again. Cartos as recommened by all the replies are alot better. I like the Boge 510 one like many have said. They don't leak on me, easier to fill comparing to other cartos.
