I always have a problem with carto, I believe it's my problem and not carto's fault.

Just tried to use a smoktech dct 1.5ohm with a 3.5 tank.. And for the start I did according to exactly as this tutorial. (I sucked so hard to ensure it's properly filled till even the juice went in my mouth *yucks)

Smok Tech DCT 3.5ml Tank - YouTube

Problems I encounter (not sure if its the norm)

- inconsistent vape at times. Sometimes very little vapor something works like wonder (I seriously love the wonder part)
- very noticeable sound like something is burning inside (I'm just afraid the filler is fill properly and I'm burning this thing to death)
- whenever I remove the tank I notice some juice in middle of my vamo. Seems like its from the bottom of carto leak.

im running from 4-5v on this carto.

Awesome
Try enlarging the airhole on the carto.

And sucking too hard might cause too much juice going into the carto, maybe that the problem that cause the leaking.

Try lowering your voltage,if juice is not feed fast enough to match your wicking and vaporising of the juice. It will cause burn and soon, destroying the carto inside.

hope this helps.

Yup that's true. Sucking too hard is a no-no on DCTs.

For me its always 2 holes. The pre-made one and another little one I punch myself. This makes sure the filling is wet always whether or not you suck hard yah?

The tarik in DCT for me is a slow, constant, long pull. Hard and fast almost guarantees a mouth full of e-liquid.

Elson,
Use dual hole cartomizers in your tanks. Fill the cartos up first, before you fill the tank. Prime the cartos first. No need to suck hard to prime the carto...all you'll do is flood the thing!! As evidenced by juice on the contact of the vamo and inconsistant performace.
Once your carto is filled insert it into the tank, make sure the holes of the carto are above the orings. Fill the tank with juice and put on your drip tip. Then let the tank sit for about 10-15 minutes...this allows time to saturate the carto filling. After the alotted time, gently take a long pull on the drip tip without firing it. You should see a few air bubbles coming from the feeder holes in the carto.....this signals good wicking. You are ready to go!!
Hit the button and take a long gradual draw....you should hear a nice hissing sound and be taking in some nice vapor.
If you hear a gurgling or sputtering sound with decreased vapor production then the atty has flooded. Unscrew the tank, clean the pooled juice off the contact of your PV and wipe the bottom (screw end) of your carto off. Once cleaned, reattach and vape on!!
Hope this helps!! Good Luck and Keep on Vaping.
