Ok first off I've been vaping very happily since last May 2010. I still like the look and feel of the mini or super mini auto battery type ecig. It still works for me and until lately had no real issues or questions.

Now without naming any brand or company, I have what would be considerd like an M401 or M402 model ecig with the atomizer that has the exposed bridge. Just because, I usually order 2 new atty every month or so on average because a 'new' atty is awesome and spending $20.00 a month plus juice instead of $200.00 a month on analogs was well worth it.

So when I'd get the new attys, I'd use them one at a time, prime the bridge with some juice and since it had the 'coating' on it being new, it would not soak right in, and of course you get the chemical taste for a bit - maybe half a day on a new one.

Now - the past 3 times I've ordered new atty's, at least 1 of them 2 didn't work OR when I prime the atty bridge with juice -- it soaks Right In -- and no chemical flavor at all like from the primer on new ones. I haven't said anything to the company yet but --- Are they duping me and taking my money? Selling me used atomizers that maybe they got returned, cleaned and sent back out instead of new? If I kept and cleaned them instead of repeat ordering I'd be SOL as they seem to stop working just as I am about to order new ones.

Just making sure I'm not crazy. Exposed bridge attys still have the primer coating right? Still need time to 'kick in' right? Should last more than a week or 2 right? Kinda made me mad - think I might be changing ecig brands here soon............

the Quality Control on all these products is very iffy--i'd be pretty surprised if anyone bothered to try and send out used attys--in my experience the original manufacturing process is so erratic even the same vendor has enormous variations from shipment to shipment.

according to the ECF library post
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/133998-how-fix-bad-taste-new-atomizers.html

according to "The expert" the manufacturers don't actually put nasty stuff (primer) on there on purpose but just add juice to the crap that is left over in the manufacturing process...

I've been using M40x since June 2010 and my first atty was the only one to die after about 3 weeks. I lost one other atty but was using some strong cinnamon and it seemed to get clogged alot but still lasted a couple months.

While I agree new attys do give a really nice vape, I only have 2 attys out of the 6 that I am currently using that have poor performance. The first atty I had didn't have the white ceramic bridge under the foil and I got it from a vendor at the flea market with my first kit, all the rest do have the ceramic bridge.

The attys do have a primer on them and are seald in a blue wrapper, some have more than others and some seem to have almost no primer. All the the attys I've received put out at least some vapor before I drip any juice or put on a loaded cart.

Also, $20 seems a little high priced for 2 attys. MyFreedomSmokes has attys for about $6 if you use their hardware discount code "smoke".

I have not a clue about the atty's you are getting, but I have to agree with Paisley. You seem to be paying way more for the atty's than you should be.

I would suggest you contact the supplier immediately and complain. If you don't a good response, change to a better kit like the joye 510, ego 510, or riva 510...all of which can be bought at liberty-flights.com. eGo's and riva's have a bigger battery, kinda cigar size only a little smaller, but worth the extra length in vaping time.
