I started with a super mini (disappointed), then went on to the 901 (much happier) and am now on the Janty Classic Kissbox (delighted). As you can imagine, this involved a lot of surfing and saving links.

When I ordered my Janty, I deliberately didn’t order any extras – waiting to see if it was okay. But I did notice that they also sold a sort of syringe for topping cartridges and some pouches to go on your belt, designed to hold the various Jantys and their spares etc. I’m talking about Jantyshop dot com.

Now that I’m happy, and ordering spares, I find no trace of either the syringe or the pouch on the Janty site. Have they moved it, or am I getting confused and they are actually on another site? It’s doing my head in!

They wouldn't sell me a hypodermic syringe in my local chemists

I wanted one for filling cartridges from the bottom. I think they thought I was going to use it for smack

lol, i know exactly what you mean! i took my e-cig with me and showed them it before explaining why i wanted a syringe. maybe just ask for a syringe to use to give children medicine? i dont actually use a needle with my syringe but i think it is possible to purchase a plastic needle........maybe that would help you?

My chemist was happy to sell me a syringe, I told him it was for baking, eg putting filling in cakes :) But you can also get them on ebay very cheap, just search for syringes for filling ink cartridges. If you still have problems, let me know and I will send you one as I have spares, but I have never seen them on the Janty site

Re: association with illicit use: people that are injecting illegal drugs are: 1) likely to want quite small versions of everything (typically 1ml 'insulin' syringes), and 2) likely to know a hell of a lot more about syringes etc. than you do (and not care very much what the pharmacist thinks about it). Actually, if the pharmacist did think you were going to use them for that purpose, s/he might even be more helpful: the policy in the UK is unrestricted access, to lower the incidence of re-use and potential infection. In fact, IV drug users often get their 'works' for free - the pharmacist might even offer you a free pre-packaged kit with syringes, needles, and sharps (disposal) box (although the syringes are likely to be too small)! :D

Bear in mind that syringes & needles are used for a huge variety of reasons - e.g. oiling small parts, mixing/applying glue, oral administration of medicines, measuring chemicals, etc, etc. - so you might be able to buy variants in all sorts of unexpected places.

cant comment on the pouch but you can buy a syringe from your local chemist for less than a quid.

\
Wow no idea what a quid is but let me just say you live in a wonderful place where you can visit the "local chemist" and get supplies. The only chemists around here are either cooking up .... or working for a university/company, and trying to talk to either (much less borrow supplies from!) will get u a visit from the police. I envy you sir.

lol, a quid is slang for one english pound. so if something cost £10.00 you could say "it cost ten quid"........you could even say "it cost ten knicker"........ now you are really confused! lol

Must be a language thing :) Chemist in common British English can mean the same as pharmacy or maybe "drug store".

In the u.s. I buy my hypodermic needles at T.S.C. ( Tractor Supply Center) It is an Farmer's store with over the counter hypodermics for farm animal use all shapes sizes and even can select your own needle size.

I heard they sell PG there too (like in the cow section or something...lol)....but I haven't checked. Have you noticed that there too by chance?
