Am I going to die?

Hey ECF! I've been using my topbox mini kit for a few days now and I love it. I didn't learn until yesterday that the coil I was using was made with nickel and is dangerous to use on wattage mode (Which I did for about a day and a half). Apparently that was very dangerous.

I used it with the nickel at around 30 watts for less than 48 hours. I never noticed a burnt or metallic or any other out of the ordinary taste. I also never felt bad, had any coughing/sore throat or lung problems

Did I screw myself badly? How much damage could I have done in that amount of time? Could it have been worse than two days of analog smoking? I'm kinda panicked now.

Sorry to break this to you, but yes you are absolutely gonna die.:p

Not from the nickel and likely many years from now... but yup, you will be a goner.

I wouldn't vape anything other than SS or kanthal in wattage/voltage mode as it can be bad, but a couple of days of it at moderate wattage isn't likely lethal.:)

Well, sooner or later, yes. But not from vaping Ni wire in the wrong mode for a few hours, I don't think. So long as you didn't dry hit it a lot-- that's the real danger-- no problem. If the wick was wet, the wire would have been too cool to outgas anything nasty.

it is very unlikely you did any damage, but just make sure you differentiate the coils from this point on and only use the Ni coils in TC mode (personally would recommend getting yourself some of the SS316L coils (stainless steel) - they are safe in either TC or wattage modes and the flavor on them is excellent)

when its your time to go... there is no stopping it... be it old age or some tragic accident or vaping with Ni in watt mode ;)

heres the truth about the Ni myth.. yes Ni can cause an issue when overheated to a bright glowing yellow in a high carbon monoxide atmosphere... it produces nickel carbonate..
avoid making your Ni coil glow in high (85%+) CO enviroments and you will be just fine... :)

wow.. so many already said exactly what I would have said...

1) yup, everyone will end up dying some day.
2) I use N200 almost exclusively on TC but once in a while I'll switch to Watt mode to burn the gunk out for a pull or two, then back to TC.

Unless you'd taste the metal or burnt, I know that some alarmist have a fear of nickel, but unless you're allergic to it, it shouldn't be a problem.
