ok i will begin by saying ive been a analog smoker for 3 years (dumb mistake while i was drinking)

i smoke about 10-15 cigarettes a day maybe a little more if im worked up but never go above a pack a day

i saw the volt by smokeless image and checked out reviews on some forums / youtube.

first couple hits great but notice after a while im getting a nicotine headache (i bought their 18mg cartridges) so i tried some different methods i tried big hits and holding it in my mouth big hits holding it in my lungs but felt i was getting no nicotine from it...

any information would be great

(i am getting alot of vapor if that matters)

Most of the nicotine from vapor is absorbed through the mucous membranes in your mouth and sinuses.
So, holding it in your lungs doesn't really do anything to increase your nicotine.

If you're getting headaches, you're getting too much nicotine. Try smaller, more frequent hits and hold it in your mouth, inhaling more shallowly, exhaling partially through your nose.

If that doesn't work, try a lower nic concentration, to avoid the headache, and go back to bigger hits. Again, the lungs are of little use. Keep it in your mouth and sinus cavities.

and with not feeling the nicotine, vaping it takes longer for the nicotine to hit, with smoking it hits your brain in 7 secinds with vaping it takes a few minutes, which is one reason many people end up having nicotine OD in the beginning because they feel like they aren't getting the nicotine till it all hits later then realize it was way too much

a couple things I've noticed:

1. The headaches you are getting may also be from dehydration. Vaping dehydrates you. Drink lots of water.

2. You may have it exactly backwards... When I started Vaping I used 18mg and found I was getting heaqdaches from too much nic... I didn't bother adjusting, I just stuck with it and modified my technique. I still vape 18mg.... but Don't vape like you smoked.... hitting the hell out of the ecig for 10 minutes will land you a mild nic OD(like mentioned above), vaping is a 2-3 hits, take a break for a couple minutes, repeat all damn day thing...

I've been vaping since May 1st and just in the last few days i've learned how to tell when my body has had enough. I would vape and vape and vape til i got a headache LOL ....and still will if i'm just sitting around with nothing to do. After a while i think you body gets used to the different way your "consuming" the nicotine .......soon your brain will followin suit. If that makes any since! At first i would vape and the whole time i would have that feeling like i was still missing something. I think that was cawz i couldn't feel-feel the smoke in my lungs(which is a bad thing) Now i've got where i can tell when i've had enough, sort of like when you was smoking a analog and half way through the cig you'd think to yourself "I've had enough of this cig" and put it out half way (again, if that makes any since)
