Am I hurting my atty's

In the beginning I was steam cleaning my atty's once a week and then rinsing them in vodka, but now I have changed my tactics.

What I am doing now is I have about 6 atty's going and at the end of the day I blow them out and drop them into a glass bowl (with lid) of vodka. When I drop the 5th one in I take the first 4 out, blow them out, hit them with my wife's hair dryer for a few minutes and then let them sit until needed as I go through the rotation. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now and the atty's are as clear as a bell (or seem to be). I am on my 3rd rotation now. I have noticed I have to prime them with a few vapes just like you do when you start on a new atty, but beyond that they seem to be working great. I changed to this method because I figured that they would not have time to gunk up and they would last longer.

My question is - Is the soaking in the vodka for a few days at a time going to hurt the atty or me for that matter?

To the best of my knowledge you aren't doing any significant damage to your attys or yourself with this method.

Not sure about your method but saw this interesting link. Also cleaning the clear cartos seems really easy...so you may want to check smoke tech clear cartos as they are easy to clean! PBursardo has a really good video on this!

Sounds good to me. I have learned a "rotation" is the best way to extend the life of atty's. I tried the hair dryer once and my atty tasted like burnt hair and had to be put to rest.

Yuck, have not had a burnt hair experience yet (knock on wood) and hope I never do.

The only thing I have as a problem with this continual cleaning is the priming required. It takes a few vapes to get the flavor going good, but it is not that big of a deal. I also switched when I started thinking about vaping the gunk I was seeing on other peoples atty's and tried to figure out a way to avoid me vaping gunk and this seemed like a good method - so here I am...

I agree with the priming. I find performance is greatly reduced as attys dirty. I find myself rotating every 3 or 4 days.

I vape some heavy coffee flavors and some tobacco flavors so I was getting atty reduction during the 2nd or 3rd day normally and when I steamed them they were coming out dark for the first few seconds so I knew I was building up gunk fast and I don't know it just started me thinking thats all...
