I don't use it. I don't miss it. I don't know what I am missing but I am not missing it.
It USED to be.
My setup changes very little. It's in the signiture area below. I mostly switched from watts to temp control last August. At that point I was using a Tugboat clone on an iStick 50w with a 1.5 ohm coil fired at 20 watts. Today the setup is an SV rda clone on an evic vtc mini with a 1.2 ohm stainless coil fired at 30 max watts and 400 degrees. With stainless I can put the rda on the istick and compare. The istick at 20 watts doesn't hit as hard as the TC setup at 30 max watts. If I raise the iStick to 30 watts it's easy to over heat the coil and get too many dry hits. TC allows me to have higher watts and no dry hits. That's handy in the car and at work because if it's not convenient to redrip I can vape a reletively dry coil for quite a while.First of all, spare me the "to each his own" vaping philosophy comments.
I GET that, I really do, but it's become cliche and obvious.
No, what I really want to know is it worth messing with. Does it provide something that is worth the learning curve, and the obtaining a new mod and wire?
I guess, for me, technically I don't need a new Mod, since I have an IPV D-3, but I'd still like to hear the pros and cons and personal experiences.
Now you say something.
Are you happy with your vape?
Is it satisfying?
If you answered yes to these questions you're not missing out on anything.
