As a "spaz" I find this post offensive.
Funny, but offensive.
Definitions of Spaz on the Web:

Spaz is short for spastic

Spastic- an offensive term meaning lacking physical coordination or the ability to perform competently

Ever see revenge of the nerds?
They have both a spaz and a poindexter, if you ever were wondering what the difference was

From wikipedia:

The current connotations of the word are well-illustrated by a BBC survey in 2003, which found that "spastic" was the second most offensive term in the UK relating to disability (...... was deemed most offensive) [2]. In 2007, Lynne Murphy, a linguist at the University of Sussex, described the term as being "one of the most taboo insults to a British ear".[1]

I definitely cringe when I hear it being used, even in its appropriate, clinical sense. The charity "Spastic Society" changed its name about 10 years ago due to the taboo that formed around the word.
