Am I "Required" to use a "DUAL COIL" on a Fogger V5 RTA?

I have a Seven 30 Watt and Fogger V5 on the way. I was wondering if I "HAVE TO" build a dual coil on the Fogger in order for it to work on the Seven 30w.... or.... can I just use a single coil on it?

Not sure if these rta's like the Fogger V5 have to be run with both sides coiled or if I can leave one side open with a single coil on the other?

Anyone with a Fogger that knows the answer?

Thank yo9u in advance!

Hey man.

You can try and build a single coil, but the problem is that there are four holes for wicks that go into the tank, so you have to split your wicks in half to put them into the holes.

A single coil build is shown in this video starting from about 12:00, except it is for fogger v4, but as far as I know the deck on V5 is almost the same. Sorry for the spaces in the link, not allowed to post them yet :)

Well ya, and you are also required to hold your pinkie finger up to your lip while using it.

Well ....... DC is the way the fogger was designed to be used.

But, what I don't understand is why so many want to use a topper 'other than' the way it was designed to be used when there are so many different toppers to choose from.

So ..... my advice would be to just get a KayFun if you want a single coil RTA.
(the funny part is that you see so many trying to use DCs with a KayFun when they could have just gotten a Fogger)

The thing is... I like dual coils, but it is hard to build a dual coil that isn't a sub ohm. At least I have a had time building a DC that is 1 ohm or higher. I suppose I will have to use really small gauge wire and wear my magnified glasses to build it.

If you're using a mech 28 gauge is great but if not use 30.

TJ, what would you suggest I build if I want my overall to be at least 1 ohm? I have no problem building a DC...its just I do not do well with wire that is smaller than 26 gauge. I can't see it.....

I haven't figured out how to use those calculators yet to figure out the best wire/wraps/size/etc.... Every time I build a DC it ends up being .5 or less
