Am I the only noob that was greatly disappointed by the tobacco flavors?

I pretty much only vape 'tobacco' vapes, and the biggest thing i found was i needed a few weeks off from smoking for my taste buds to come back to life before i could figure out what i liked in juice. i spent most of my vape $ on sample juice packs when i first started, and i hit up the vendors everyone raved about, grabbed an atomizer and dripped back and forth until i found something i really liked. oddly enough, my 'all day vapes' taste nothing like the cigs i used to smoke, although i do add menthol to everything still...when i first started i found mixing a bit of BWB casablanca with V2 menthol (why?) tasted most like a real cigarette to me...i just dripped some of that mix right now and i cant stand it! be prepared for your tastes to change, and NEVER write a juice off...especially considering how much flavor can change with a good steeping...

My friend Scott was absolutely and in no uncertain terms dead-set against using an e-cigarette of any kind, for any reason, specifically because he had tried (and been disappointed by) the cheap convenience-store junk his family had tried to get him to use so many times in the past. His biggest complaint -- like yours, pilotman -- is that he couldn't find one with a juice that tasted anything like tobacco.

He now swears by Halo Torque 56. Whereas I like their slightly sweeter Tribeca, I would have to agree that, so far, Torque 56 is the closest flavor to real tobacco you're likely to find.

I am, of course open to being turned on to even better flavors.

When I first ordered everything, I primarily bought tobacco flavored juice. I was hoping to duplicate the perfect tobacco taste (camel) but wasn't impressed. The first few didn't really taste like much, let alone tobacco. Then I tried berry and grape... LOVE them!

Then I tried a 555... I wanted to puke.

Honestly I'm done with the tobacco flavors, and I don't feel the least bit disappointed.

Anyone else the same way?
i did the same thing, first juice order was almost all tobaccos, then cheesecake (company has an icky version) vanilla and coffee. I can't even smell those tobacco juices, sooo icky!! plus I got them all at 24mg and wow, 1 or 2 vapes and dang my head is spinning!!
Vaping is a huge trial and error, luckily you found ECF :)

eh- i smoked for 30 years and I smoked "tobacco flavor" because thats all there really was except for a short period of time when other flavors like chocolate mint and cherry vanilla were available.
but honestly - if I had had fruity and dessert flavors when I started smoking I never would have smoked "tobacco flavor" ever. Its a pretty nasty flavor - I doubt most of us would have chosen it right off when we started smoking.

I have learned something about the tobacco flavored liquids as my taste buds returned to me from a smoke free lifestyle. Most tobacco juices are aromatic with a mild flavor, and the flavor is usually the smell you get when you opened your pack of analogs. I don't pretend to be some expert of course, but if you're going to sample the tobacco flavors you may want to try this:

*Take a long slow draw, let some of the vape hang out in your mouth at the end.
*As you exhale, draw some of the vapor in your nose like a fancy pants frenchman. (I know right?)

I'm currently smoking on 50 ml 11 mg bottles of Red USA Mix from madvapes. I tried doing the basic chief-it-like-a-trucker method and found it very bland. And for all you flavor sporters (Those who prefer non tobacco) I am in the process of window shopping a few small vials. Feel free to message me some suggestions.

Vape on cloud crafters!

I was thoroughly disappointed that all the juice had to offer was a flaming peanut oil flavour.

Taste truly is subjective. Some rave about Tribecca, I thought it tasted oily, like sewing machine oil. It was the very first juice i ever vaped, and I didn't know better to get more than one juice. So I spent my first day vaping with a very heavy heart. I was pretty sure vaping was not going to be for me.

I got on the phone w/nearest vendor and ordered up other stuff, and got it and went WHEW!

I advise vape noobs to avoid tobacco flavors for this very reason. If it is a tobacco flavor, you will expect it to taste like a burning cigarette.

It's not gonna happen. Get over it now.

Whereas, if I give you a candy or drink flavor, well, it tastes like what you expect. My DIY tastes just like a wint-o-green lifesaver. I'm not addicted to tobacco, I'm addicted to nicotine.

Me different, when I started I thought 555 was lovely - what a pleasant medium to get a bit of nic. After a few months vaping I am now moving to fruit and other flavours. I still use and quite enjoy tobacco flavours but love Classic Grape, and coffee vanilla. Bought Watermelon but, even tho I quite enjoy the taste, it really doesn't have a strong enough flavour for me and I am not that keen on sweet.

What gives me a buzz is every EJuice is a new adventure. I love it!! Vape on.

I agree. Some fags tasted so bad I don't know how I got thru em - but I did!! That is why I love getting my nic fix in such a pleasant way - pleasant to me and pleasant to non-smokers in my environment. Win Win truly.

Wanted to post same thread :D
Will try your suggestions and move away from tobacco flavors.

Bought Marlboro, LM and Camel flavors, it's just so horrible... I thought maybe something is wrong with my e-cig (3rd day I go it) or horrible juices (pretty much no-name category).
Now, I guess, I won't try joyetech tobacco flavors.

It sounds like a problem tho, the first reason for me to go e-cig was savings. And now I can't have same sensation like smoking real cigarette :(

You are saving, saving your life. Money will not be saved for a few months.
What devices are you using and where do you get your supplies? Perhaps try the Halo Tribeca or similar RY4 type juice. They are a nice compromise of flavors and can give you something tolerable to vape until you find your "fix".

Have fun

After nealry 20 years of smoking I had long since lost the sensation of "Taste" with tobacco, however I like many others probably bought about 2/3 of my juice samples looking for a tobacco I liked. The problem is it's not such a simple category. If walked into a smoke shop and said "give me some tobacco", what are the chances that you'd enjoy the cigarette you rolled from it? It would be helpful for vendors to describe their tobaccos as Pipe, Cigar, Chew, or Cigarette tobacco, although I suppose those descriptions can be sort of subjective.

I've moved away from looking for tobaccos as a primary goal as I've started to enjoy other flavors.

That being said the first tobacco juice I bought is my favorite juice out of the roughly 30 I've tasted. It's Volt Country mild, smooth, with a hint of chocolate.
