Am I the only noob that was greatly disappointed by the tobacco flavors?

When I first ordered everything, I primarily bought tobacco flavored juice. I was hoping to duplicate the perfect tobacco taste (camel) but wasn't impressed. The first few didn't really taste like much, let alone tobacco. Then I tried berry and grape... LOVE them!

Then I tried a 555... I wanted to puke.

Honestly I'm done with the tobacco flavors, and I don't feel the least bit disappointed.

Anyone else the same way?

Many agree with you because unless it actually can burn no juice will ever taste like tobacco.

On the other hand, never say never, because your taste buds may change and there are some superb tobacco flavors that are very complex and satisfying when you get tired of the fruit and dessert type flavors.

Welcome to ECF and the vaping.

When I go for the tobaccos, go for J55 or JY4 from Rawr Vapor: Home page. Mostly tho, I vape the fruity/sweet juices. I did read that Parkes Vaping has an ejuice listed under its tobaccos called Ashtray, lol..I've never tried it but some folks say it tastes like a twice-baked ciggy.

Try Kentucky Premium Blend from Vermillion City. It's probably going to be the best Tobacco you've ever vaped and after you may find other flavors to just be very average.

I must have lucked out. My first tobacco juice was sweet carolina (ivape.net) A slightly sweet flavor of what a freshly opened pack of smokes smells like. It has a bit of a tea flavor on the end. Since then I have tried 555, American, and a flue cure(cant remember the name of it) None have compared to sweet carolina. I am waiting on RY4. I hope it can come as close as SC does. I really need to contact ivape about a bulk size. LOL

I haven't tried any of the tobacco flavors yet. I saw a reviewer who said that no matter how quality of a juice ...it is never going to 100% be the same as a "real" cigarette. For one thing...it isn't ever going to have the burning carcinogens we are used to (nor would we want it to presumably) He suggested staying away from the tobacco flavors initially to avoid that expectation altogether and use the time to experiment with totally unrelated flavors. After you've vaped awhile then you can always go back and try for a tobacco flavor you might enjoy. He said it kind of gives your taste buds a little time to rest, heal and even forget a little what the "exact" taste is and it would be easier to fine one you might actually enjoy. This made sense to me so I decided to wait for at least 3 months before giving a tobacco flavor a try. So far I'm doing great without it and don't find I'm really missing it at all.

I will say that I tried a crappy gas station ecig a few years back. That Kinda had a tobacco taste... and that was OK. All other attributes (no vapor, no throat hit, etc) were a big turnoff.

The flavors i tried weren't really even close, it's hard to describe.

I do find it funny that I was able to find satisfaction in something that my wife says smells like fake grape cough syrup :D

I never really found a tobacco I liked. I found post after post stating over, and over again."You will never find anything that will taste like a cigarette." I glad in a way, cause at the end of my smoking life, I never enjoyed the taste of cigarettes anyway. Stinking up my house, my clothes, and my car.

So far I can't really say. I've only done a couple of "tobacco" blends and so far I haven't actually tasted anything resembling tobacco. I got some Ice Menthol from SI, tastes like peppermint but no tobacco, and a smokey caramel tobacco from ECB but all I taste is caramel. I'm still searching and hoping...

That there is where your disappointment comes in. Vaping isn't smoking. I guess I never expected it to be like smoking, so I never went thru that. :)

Think of vaping as an entirely new experience, to get you off smoking. Then you can enjoy what VAPING has to offer. Once you get your head around that and experiment a little, you'll see what I mean.

Try some stuff like strawberry, or something you'd never *smoke*. You can swap that stuff in Samples Swap by the way. (search)

Taste and smell are powerful senses that can take us to another place in time . I find I like mostly tobacco vapes though mints and some fruits are appreciated also. One thing I haven't done is try to replicate my former or any brand of cigarettes . I just take try to vape each one and then decide if I like the flavor. Do I find it interesting and/or complex ? Why do I like or dislike it?
It is hard to do ,but I try to not have any preconceived thoughts of what a particular tobacco flavor will or should taste like.
