I've submitted multiple comments to the FDA over the proposed guidelines and in reading a lot the responses, I noticed a lot of people commented they don't like tobacco flavored juice and really enjoy the fruity or sweet flavored juices instead. Since flavoring is one of the things the FDA will include in the pending regulations, I can see why those who like the fruit flavors etc., are concerned.

I've tried the sweet flavors, but I just don't like them. Maybe I'm weird, but I enjoyed the taste of tobacco. I smoked for nearly 40 years and looked forward to the first cigarette in the morning. While I haven't smoked a cigarette in over two years, I still like the taste, so my juice of choice is a 50/50 combination of a cigarette flavored juice with a menthol flavored juice I buy from my local vape shop and just blend in my Nautilus.

Am I the odd man out here? Does liking a tobacco flavored juice after two years seem out of place with what others are doing?

I still vape tobacco flavors probably 80% of the time. I too enjoyed cigarettes, especially when I started rolling my own with quality tobacco like D&R, etc. I could make a quality pack of smokes for less than a dollar. However, even though RYO was much cheaper than BT and vaping, vaping is the only safe(r) choice. I guarantee you are not the only one, rbrylawski.

When I used cigalikes, I hated the tobacco flavor they used. My vape shop makes a flavor called Marb Smooth, which tastes very much like tobacco and when I add the menthol flavor it's a a nice cool tobacco taste. I never smoked menthol cigarettes though so I don't know why I like the added menthol, but I do.

I like tobacco based flavors and I'm a big fan of Ahlusion's liquids.

Thanks!

Reading through so many threads, I was beginning to think I was odd, which maybe I am, but that would be subject for another thread altogether! LOL

I've vaped many tobacco flavors including NETs, none have really tasted like burning vegetation (guess that's a good thing..:))
I still mix in a 'tobacco' with my coffee, whiskey, bourbon, anise, menthol, mint, and other non-fruity flavors.
Never was attracted to the fruity, creamy, sweet flavors and there's so many other non-tobacco flavors there is no need to indulge.

I don't get how can they ban flavor , if they do people will simply add it by themselves so other than ruining small businesses they are doing nothing .

as regards to tobacco flavors , personally I never liked them , for me they simply don't taste like real tobacco

I don't understand how the FDA could do have the things they do, but they wield a powerful ax as we're all aware.

I don't think you're the odd man out, I know many people who have tobacco flavorings in their juice rotation. Personally I'm not a fan but then again, I never did enjoy the taste of tobacco, even though I smoked it for over 25 years. I like baked goods myself, like cinnamon bun, banana cream pie, vanilla custard, etc. Everyone has a different flavor profile and I firmly believe there's nothing wrong with liking tobacco flavored juices, particularly if that's what it takes to keep a person from smoking cigarettes!

Like you rbrylawski, I smoked for 45 years and yes I enjoyed the taste of a cigarette, especially that first in the morning and after dinner. Was a menthol smoker for many, many years so that is my go to but I switch once in a while to a straight tobacco flavor. It's smooth, relaxing and just tastes damn good! :thumb:

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone!

Same here 3 years of vaping and I only vape tobacco flavors

I'm actually surprised by people replying they vape tobacco flavors. Reading so many posts, it seemed most use sweet juices.

P.S. One of the greatest benefits for me going to DIY'ing my juice was that I could have a huge assortment of different tobacco flavors at my disposal :)

I haven't gone DIY on anything yet. I'm more a plug and play fellow, though I do realize I could save money by doing more things myself.

I vape maxx blend from MFS almost exclusively, seven leaves is close but a little sweeter, if I could find the flavoring for an e-liquid called cattleman's trail, that would be awesome, my vape store sells the liquid but im not paying $18 per 30 ml when I can make it for $2, they won't tell me their supplier.

You're not alone.Other than the occasional drops of menthol when I have a cold, I vape tobacco flavors exclusively. If I have a craving for banana cream pie or cheesecake, I'll make/bake the real thing. BUT, if someone makes Ruffles Potato Chip flavored e-liquid, I'd probably buy it.:)

That's funny! Not sure if I'd like the flavor of potato chips in vapor form, but I WOULD be willing to try it!

Yes juices from a vape shop are not that inexpensive, but oh so convenient. And I just don't want to build a lab in my home. My vape store has a juice lab, which is very clean, uses premium ingredients and I like what they make. So, I'll pay more and get good stuff I don't have to make myself.

I certainly haven't been smoke-free nearly as long as you, even if you count the 115 days before I succumbed to cravings after my illness in June, but I enjoy certain tobacco flavors myself -- not all of them by a long shot; most seem much too sweet to me -- like that RY4 stuff, I can't imagine why anyone would want their tobacco to taste like candy. *shudder* But if it wasn't for MyFreedomSmokes' Virginia, I'm sure I'd still be smoking. I've come to enjoy a few sweet flavors, but they're just entertainment, or a change of pace, or go well with certain beverages; the "Real McCoy" to me, the substitute for smoking, is Virginia tobacco flavored eliquid, and I'm not sure if that will ever change.

The only thing that really worries me about all this FDA poop is wondering if I'll still be able to get this Virginia flavor from MFS; I can probably DIY sweet flavors, but so far not too much success in recreating a Virginia flavor I like -- though I'm still working on it, and getting closer. In the event that I can get the Virginia I truly love from MFS but without nicotine, I've started stockpiling nicotine in my freezer, 100mg, so I wouldn't have to mess up the flavor by heavy dilution -- it doesn't take much 100mg nicotine to create a 10mg ejuice. :D
