Penguiness, have you ever looked at this? The 2014 Cyclone Bottom Fed RDA by Vicious Ant That came along with the loaner Reo I was using and it was wonderful. It was just out of my price range.

Take care,
Dani

Dani, thank you for the link. This was one of the items on my "to try" list :)

No, not the only one :) - I'm another that's happy as I am with my iSticks and MVP's & iPow's for back-ups.
I like it all to be as 'plug 'n play' as it can be :thumb:

I felt the same way you do. I wanted one to "try" but figured I'd only buy one. Kayfuns and ProVaris, that's all I needed. Then I bought one. Now I have two, and I want a couple more. It's so simple, small and easy. Re-wicking can be done in a pinch because it's just like a dripper. You don't need to look at what you're doing, and everything can be done with one hand so it's actually *safer* than dripping if you vape in the car. The vape is consistent as long as you keep the wick wet, when the vape changes it's time for a new battery (usually around 3.7V, I'm not changing batteries all that often). There's a small learning curve, but it's totally worth it.

I admit I want a REO but I also admit I don't think the prices are realistic (to me anyway). I think I want one just so I can be accepted in all the REO chat threads...to be "in".

They're on par with (or cheaper than) any other authentic mod. No need to buy one to "fit in," for sure, but if you've seen one in person you realize the skill and ingenuity that goes into the mods. It's not just another metal tube with a 510 connection.

I decided to buy myself a reo for my one year vapeaversary and bought a variable voltage Reo on the classies. I wanted to stick with vv because all the experience I had had was with vv. It was on ok vape, just not rock my world type of thing. I then decided to try one of the metal mechanical Reo's and some of the 14mm diameter atties and was much happier. Learning to build coils, coil placement, wicking....it was all pretty easy to learn. Then one day on a whim I bought a 22mm diameter atomizer and it changed everything. This thing just blew my mind, I didn't know vaping could be like that. So it's not just the Reo by itself, it's what you put on it that also matters, a lot, and in some cases can make all the difference. Put a so-so attie on a Reo and you may decided you aren't into Reo's even though it's not really the Reo that makes the experience so-so. Of course "so-so" is going to be different for everyone, so some experimenting with different things is required.

There are a few thing to consider, not just the Reo, atties/wicking material/juice etc. Combine the Reo with something that works for you and you'll never use anything else.

I did not want a REO. I didn't like box mods and the unregulated aspect of it freaked me out a little. When I realized it wasn't dangerous when used properly I talked myself into one. A couple of weeks later I got a second one. I love my REOs. I use them daily but I also use my istick daily. There are some flavors I prefer in a nauti and some I prefer in a REO. I try to build a handful of coils at a time so when I need to change one or rewick it takes about the same amount of time as changing an atty in the nautilus.

I finally cleaned up the Reo tonight and recoiled. Have a 24 gauge 0.7ohm coil in the RM2. I am waiting for the Odin dual coil atty to come back into stock. There are a few things that I have never dug about the RM2 like the posts spinning when I tighten the screws, can only do a single coil build, and the top cap screws on which when screwing it down to our device, makes the top cap tighter. There have been a couple time where I had to stick a micro screwdriver in the airhole to break the top cap free from the base. All and all, it is vaping well right now. I have some Burley and Candy in the bottle now and it I am getting decent flavor using Japanese Cotton instead of the usual cotton ball wicks that I using in previous builds.

Cowboy, I get a full day of consistent vapor out of both my REO's. I build a 26ga 1 ohm coil and that's my sweet spot. I own two, a grand and a Grand LP.

I have the cyclone on my Grand and a RM4 on my LP, the RM4 is small and gives me the option of single or duel coils. I have other PV's too and use them often but when I can not worry about it walking away or I'm not out running around the REO is almost always preferred.

Damn shame your in the UK, it's to damn far to drive to let you check one of mine out.

That's me almost exactly. I was reading my first post from back in April or May the other day. I was inquiring about what to buy when I was ready to give up the vv3's and tanks. Some very sweet enablers helped me know my options. I went Reo and the way I look at it, I saved myself a ton of money and even more aggravation with tanks. I never had a handful of mods and tons of tanks and a plethora of coils.

I use my Reos every day, all day. The ease of use is great for me and I got over the anxiety about having a box mod at work. I hope to get two more soon, another Woodvil if I'm very lucky!

The only tank I still use is the Nautilus mini with my iSticks but I've given all of them away now except one. I don't regret my Reo purchases one iota. :)

Reading through the threads and I keep seeing a recurring theme..... Reo reo reo......
am I the only person who doesn't really want one? I understand the concept and see the attraction in the way of flavour of dripping yet ease of a tank system, simple and nothing to really go wrong, but I just love being able to get the same vape every time no matter what the charge on my battery is, is it bad that I'd love a reo but with a regulated power control?

I have multiple devices. Including a mechanical Reo and a VW Reo, a tube mechanical, tube VW and a box VW device. They all serve their purpose but are just batteries. It's really about the toppers. All juice will taste different in every topper even with the same build.

Question for you Cowboy. Are you strictly a tank guy or do you also use drippers??

I said earlier that I still catch myself thinking about getting another REO! Mostly when I'm around Shoebunnie and I vape on hers! Now it's late at night and I am thinking REO again!

Just to add a note - due to ongoing interest, the variety in "toppers" for REOS has expanded a LOT. Reosmods now offers a bunch of alternatives to the RM2, for people who want to build dual coils, or have more airflow for lung-hits, etc. And there's an thread here, where every week or two, a new popular atomizer (Veritas, Dark Horse, N22...) gets converted (usually clones of good quality, but sometimes authentics) for Bottom Feeders.

Chowderhead will also convert just about any dripping atty to bottom feed for a very reasonable price. You don't have to wait for him to convert one first.

I actually had a REO that I bought on the classies and only used it for a week and resold it! I actually don't feel like I gave it enough time to adjust to the learning curve and I catch myself being tempted to consider another one someday. But to be honest, I love my ISticks with my aerotanks, Nautilus mini and hopefully my Lemo. Even my MVPS and mini protanks still get used! To me it is just easier and I am happy with the vape. So in short Cowboy, the REO is awesome but I also like to adjust my vape!

My REO came from the classifieds from a person who only tried the REO for an hour lol
