Yeah! Non vapors don't get it! They ask why I keep buying all this stuff, why is it so complicated and why do you do if it makes you so frustrated sometimes. It's kinda like a holy quest I tell them. Not so much about finding the answer, but by being illuminated in the journey. BTW, do you know how to add a picture to your profile?

If you keep having trouble with the cotton you may want to try Cellucotton. It's much easier than cotton balls. Cellucotton has to be snug in the coil so it's hard to screw up. Just something to think about.

Agree. My new kayfun is working well and I'm really new to rebuilding. I'm sure using the Cellucotton is helping me.

make your wick thin (like the size it needs to go through the coil) and the wick should be long enough to touch the edge of the deck on both sides. Now make it into a Z pattern and lay the wick on the deck. Make sure your not covering the channels that run up the side. If you are covering the channels then put the ring on (without the chimney) and use a small flatblade screwdriver to push the wick away from the channels.

Blocking the channels (the groooves that run up to the deck from the bottom) is what usually causes dry hits
