This video is explaing what ECigs are at the end of the video it says Ecigs are completely safe around pets and Babies. My response was There not safe around babies and some people! You dont exhale just water vapor. There is nicotine coming out of what you exhale. Also People with a PG or VG allergies can be effected by 2nd hand vapor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lIDrgFi9yo

Studies have shown that THERE IS NO NICOTINE BEING EXHALED. Now the PG/VG allergies might be a concern other than the fact that no one has any sort of life threatening allergic reaction to those. Any reaction to those is at best minor. In fact the germs coming out of your mouth would probably pose a greater risk to a baby since their immune systems are not as strong as an adults.

I didn't bother looking at the video (hate e cig videos). Blowing vapor at a baby probably isn't the most considerate thing. I vape around my sister's dogs all the time. My dog loved to get in face and sniff the vapor (he is a doof). On that note: I do avoid vaporizing around pet birds. Their lungs are very sensitive and anything other than air can damage them. All of my e liquid is very low nic around 3 mg or 0 mg, and I don't feel bad about using my e cig around others. Do you see people pitching fits over fog machines in clubs, or during Halloween?

I haven't watched it but if the pet is a cat I sure wouldn't advise getting PG on its hair as they groom so meticulously. PG has been removed from cat food because it causes a certain type of anemia. They're still putting it in dog food though. I'm careful what I let my cat knead or walk over just in case vapor has built up on it.... like a pillow that sits on my lap a lot. I don't know about other pets but I'm sure a search of prepared foods for them would tell the story.

i had a buddy that claimed he got a nic high sitting with 4 of my buddys vaping during the super bowl. Hes not a smoker or vapor besides when he drinks. Im not against vaping around pets or adults that are ok with it. I guess getting upset is because i was stuck in a smoky house as a baby and kid and i cant stand and feel sorry for kids that have to go through that. but just my opinion i know there like A 0 everyone has one

i am curious how the 2nd hand PG works because im allergic to PG. im wondering if i go to a huge meet if my throat will swell shut like if i was vaping it myself

Well, walk in to any childrens ward of any hospital in the country and see what happens. They use PG in the air systems because it is anti-microbial and anti-septic. At least there will be doctors around to try to save you if your experiment goes wrong.

let's get real here! ... most women smokers, smoked thru pregnancy and afterwards....maybe not blowing smoke directly at the babies, but second hand smoke still has an impact, even if it's blown out the window, door or whatever .... what you never driven your baby or kid anywhere and didn't smoke in the car??? really, you want me to be gullible enough to believe, that while you were still smoking, you never behaved offensively (whether it be inadvertently or not, doesn't matter) ... I wish I had had the option to vape at that time in my life ... I can't stand the hypocrisy I read here sometimes ... ugh!

sorry for the rant....but get real people

I'm not watching the video (mostly because videos take forever to load on my tablet), but from the studies I've looked at, there's no nicotine coming out. Or, more accurately, if there is, it's so low it's virtually undetectable.

That said, I won't vape around anyone without their permission because of potential allergies. I know someone who can't be around anyone vaping strawberry liquid because she's allergic to strawberries and has a reaction to the second hand vapor. In my opinion, it's like the people who go into a store and spray body spray/perfume/cologne and then I can't breathe very well for an hour or more after being within 20 feet of it (I had asthma attacks from it when I was younger). I know how uncomfortable even that kind of reaction can be, so I try to be considerate of others. At home, I vape when/where I want. Same in the car. I just don't blow clouds at my cats or my child, and I don't vape when any of them are very close to me.

While I smoked I never vaped around kids I don't have any of my own I never smoked in a car or a house with people that didn't smoke. Maybe I'm just more resentful than you. The only time smoke went into other people's face would be if they walked by me while smoking. Sorry for being such a hypocrite though

Most people say they would not vape around someone who asked them not to but a baby can't make such a request. I don't mind being called over cautious on this matter, I don't vape near the little ones. My brother's band played at the opening of a B&M and he said there was a lot of it and he did get a headache after a while. Maybe it wasn't from the vapor at all... but who knows.

Anyway since when is it ok to blow harmless things into a baby's face either? We wouldn't do it to another adult, it would be rude - so why would we say it's ok to do to an infant?

I don't think anyone is condoning blowing anything directly in anyone's face. In the same room 15-20ft away is NOT the same as directly in someone's face though. People smoke cigarettes in the car with their kids all the time, doing the same thing with vapor is obviously safer for all involved.
