I'd bet money that there's a little nic in exhaled vapour, but that's not the point here. The point is that the last thing us vapers need is advocates making videos like this; I actually think that the last shot where vapor is blown at the doll might indicate that this is a vapour hater, and not actually an advocate at all; either that or a bloody idiot.

Cats I would be very careful about them coming in contact with the vapor or any surface with a great deal of vapor residue. There is a known condition that is cause by a bad reaction to PG in cats.

Other people and little people. Well I think being a considerate human being would take care of it. It simply is not polite to blow clouds in someones face. Adults can choose if vaping in the car with them (or in their house or wherever) is acceptable or not. Kids I just do not vape in front of unless I have cleared it with their parents and made it very clear that this is an adult thing. I don't want them picking up my vape and playing with it and making themselves ill. Although I am careful not to leave things where little hands can get to them. Kids are endlessly creative in getting to what has piqued their interest.

I make it a point to never be around babies. I'm not real fond of kids, I didn't even like myself when I was one!!

Just kidding folks!! But I do stay away from babies, afraid I might drop it and break it. They're slippery little things!!

i had a buddy that claimed he got a nic high sitting with 4 of my buddys vaping during the super bowl. Hes not a smoker or vapor besides when he drinks. Im not against vaping around pets or adults that are ok with it. I guess getting upset is because i was stuck in a smoky house as a baby and kid and i cant stand and feel sorry for kids that have to go through that. but just my opinion i know there like A 0 everyone has one

i am curious how the 2nd hand PG works because im allergic to PG. im wondering if i go to a huge meet if my throat will swell shut like if i was vaping it myself

Um...if your friend really did get a nic buzz (highly doubtful) then there was enough PG in the air to affect you. Did you have any reactions to your friends vapor?

Blowing anything, be it air, smoke or vapor in a baby's face is just......
With that said, I vape in the same room as my grandkids. I vape in the same room as my allergic to just about everything husband. He has never had a reaction to my vapor, even while in close enclosed spaces such as the car.....with windows closed.

My husband has an allergy to PG, he uses only 100% VG. I on the other hand use 60/40 or 70/30 and blow clouds of vapor while we're in the car together and of course all day long I vape around him. He doesn't show any signs of a reaction. His allergy is slightly different than yours sounds to be though. He get's little water blisters all over his hands and feet when he's had a reaction.

I don't have a problem with it. There isn't any risk in second hand vape. As to allergies. If you are allergic to something, then it is up to YOU to ensure that you stay away from things that you are allergic to. It is not society's job to hide things that you are allergic to whenever you walk by. There is ZERO evidence that ether 1st or 2nd hand vape is harmful. I have no problem at all with the video. Of all of the things that babies will breathe (dust, pollen, car exhaust, dirt, pet dander, etc.), vaping is probably one of the least harmful.

This is just more nanny state-ism at work. We need to hold the line on agreeing that anything is harmful without proof. If vaping is harmful, there should be enough evidence coming to the surface about it by now. Quite a few people have been vaping for a very long time already. If it was harmful in any way, shape , or form, the medical community would have jumped all over it by now. The fact that we keep seeing information from the same flawed study over and over is proof that there is no there there.

That being said, I would not blow my vape in a baby's face. It's father might take offense and slap me upside da head just as I would do if someone did that to my baby.

getting back to keeping it real....did anyone but me watch the video....there wasn't a baby in it, just a doll at the, no matter what the person said, she/he didn't exactly blow at any living thing!
babyvape_smaller.jpg

plus, for the last bit, everything in this video was mostly correct (he/she forgot to mention some e-liquid ingredients), so why is it, every one focusses on one itty-bitty thing, instead of actually seeing what this person is trying to convey ... focussing on the one tiny bad thing is "ANTZ" behaviour!
not open-mindedness, like most people here profess to be

it's probably up to the severity of your allergy, I don't like PG myself, it makes my throat feel funny and tight, so I switched to Max or 100% VG ... I've been to a couple of vape meets and didn't notice any reaction from just being around it.

I don't think anyone is condoning blowing anything directly in anyone's face. In the same room 15-20ft away is NOT the same as directly in someone's face though. People smoke cigarettes in the car with their kids all the time, doing the same thing with vapor is obviously safer for all involved.

The video is saying it's safe and showing vapor clouds surrounding a doll's face as if that's a perfectly fine thing to do. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's only about a minute long :)

Getting back to keeping it real, the video is not saying it's safe for dolls, it's saying that's ok to do to actual babies. If someone blew a cloud like that at my grandbaby I assure you they would know it was not ok.

When my cat was bugging me, I would deliberately pick up my smokes pack and she would scatter fast. Worked every time and what I used to be cat-free while I worked at the computer. However, she loves and I mean loves vape. So I still have the cat problem its just in reverse. *sigh* Now I have to have a spray bottle of water handy to keep her away. Blowing anything, including bad breath, in anyone's face... child, adult or pet.... is just mean. Why would anyone do that? I think its a "straw man." As for getting a nic-high around vapers, personally, I think its psychological. I've been chain vaping in my home and car for 18+ months with my non-smoker Hubby present and he has never experienced that. However, just because it may be psychological, I don't minimize it. I have no doubt that what so many called a fake ANTZ cough 25 feet away from a smoker was real to som of them. This "where is the line between your rights and mine" has been going on a long time with many, many, things other than vape and will continue no doubt. I went through it years ago with a neighbor who was allergic to olive trees and wanted me to cut mine down. I think many of us, myself included, find ourselves falling into backlash mode because we've been so badly treated. My hope is that we don't, individually, loose our humanity as a result of being treated like sub-humans. If we do "they" win. The best any of us can do is handle each situation as it arises with as much humanity as we can muster.

My inquisitive nature would like to know: did you cut down your olive tree?

No. I would not have planted a new one though however that choice was taken from me. Long story I'll try to make shorter. That neighbor moved in knowing my 25-year-old olive tree was there. When I wouldn't cut the tree down, she got involved in local politics and was instrumental in getting a law against planting olive trees passed but the part of it requiring the cutting of existing ones was struck down.

This. Thank you.

I vape in my home office with the window open across the room from my parrot with a cat on my lap and a dog at my feet, at my parents' house because they have no problem with it, and anywhere else it's permitted.

But I think we can carry it too far when we start implying that we want to surround our kids or anyone else with clouds of vapor.

For those who seem to think I'm in league with the ANTZ... as new as I am to vaping, I have already written several letters to lawmakers on behalf keeping it legal, accessible, and affordable. But I'm going to say that we only give ammo to the ANTZ with videos like this.
