Hi, i have had my first encog for about 2 months now and ive cut down from 20 fags to 7 a day.

I have a Evod mega e cig i paid 17 quid for from local e cig shop.

I now want to buy a more expensive e cig but need some advice as i still dont know much about e cigs.

I would like aomething with more vapiong power, that is realiable and very customisable.
My budget is 60 pound UK.

Size is not an issue,if i could mention on my evod mega it makes me cough and i still cough 2 months later, was wondering is there anything i can do on my next purchase to avoid this? I have seen some e cigs where you can adjust the electric power or something like that.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome @vapemate93

£60 gets you a lot of e-cig unless you get scammed by some of the brands out there.

The Evod mega is not a powerful device, there is every chance you have been vaping at under 10 watts of power. If you are worried you might still cough, you either need to reduce your nicotine or your power or maybe even your e-liquid.

Make sure you buy an e-cig that vapes at 10w or lower; you should see this in the specification.

I would not recommend anything with the words "sub-ohm" in the description. You do want something with the latest coils though, as the old Kanger coils are nowhere near as good as the new designs.

If it was me; I'd buy an EVIC mini VTC, a CUBIS tanks and the 1.5ohm Clapton coils. That's a really smart e-cig. £59.99 absolute tops price. I reckon you could do better.

Otherwise, what about an iStick 30w and an Aspire mini Nautilus? £30 for the iStick, £17.99 for the tank.

Some forum favorite / popular / relatively inexpensive brands are

Wismic / Eleaf / Joytech - pretty much same company
Smok
Innokin
Kanger
Pioneer4U

There are a plethora of mods and tanks out there today to choose from. And since competition is extremely fierce in this market, most well known brands push out decent quality products.

Thanks for the warm welcome , ive now actually stopped smoking thanks to my evod. I still will have the odd cigarette when i am drinking but i am actually not holded down by fags no more.

I did some research and now im going to be a prime vapour i have went to a box mod. I tested a few out and eventually choosen the cuboid 150 with cubis tank.
The main reason i decided to go with the cuboid was becaues it was one of the higher powerd vapes that because of its size i can use everday and carry around with me .

I have had my cuboid for 2 days now and i love it apart from the usless software thats a pain in the .... I have not really went with guided settings really just trying diffrent coils and playing about with temp settings etc.

I still have some questions and inwas wondering if you could help.

First of , i prefer mouth to lung hits as it replicates smoking more , and i was wondering for mouth to lung what variables should i consider regarding settings? Less whatts, which coil is best ? What temperature is reccomned etc.

Now ive exchanged smoking for vaping i am still addicted to tobbaco so im rocking 24 MG PV tobbcao eliquid, (got from my local shop dont really like it. Anyways my top eliqud flavours are tobbaco and Menthol i use most. I am using 12 mg menthol liquid I belive, i like the menthol mainly when i'm drinking.

This might be a hard question to answer but with my tobbaco fluid what can i do to my mod to make the fluid replicate a real cigarette as much as possible?

Like what i mean is wbat settings can simulate a ciggerte smoking strength the most. This also relates to my next question.

Can somebody explain to me what the difference in coils do , fogot to ask at vapour shop.

Also wheres the best website preferably UK) to get e liquid, as i really don't like the eliquid my local shop uses, not that id say that to em , its nice to be nice lol. I have tried jac vapour but the payment system is not working and has not been since i tried to order some tobbaco and menthol the other day. Oh well their loss .

Also i am not coughing with the cuboid unless i have it on really high settings so it must be something to donwith the evod rather than the fluid.

Any thing you can add would help as the settings on these box mods kind of mind .... new vapours.

Thanks for reading.

You should try the eliquids from onepoundeliquid - just Google that and it'll be the first link.

It's £1/10ml and they stock a fair variety of flavours, the majority of which are available in all strengths from 6-24mg - they also deliver pretty much next day if you get your order in early on the previous weekday.

So you got the Cuboid/Cubis - I was going to suggest something like an eVic VTC or a Releaux RX200 (for something more beefy with 3 batteries - very ergonomic) and a Kayfun v3 1.5 tank as a nice starter kit that would have been well within your budget. The mod and the tank you could have ordered from Fasttech for around £35-40.

How much did your Cuboid/Cubis cost you, and where from?

EDIT - IMO Jacvapour are ripoff merchants who resell cheap Chinese clones with their branding on them for much markup...

I wish i seen this reply before as ive just bough some eliquids from one i found on google , paid 15 quid for 2 menthols and 2 tobbaco all 10 mils including delivery fees. I will however will remmeber that site next time.

Hi i got my cuboid and cubis tank for 42 quid from my local vapour shop, they don't actually have a website for me to link you to. They are really good with theor previous customers and because i go in a lot the lady who runs it gives me excellent deals, it works out cheaper than amazon after shipping.

I tested the vtc and i loved it but i thought you get more for your money with the cuboid and they were the same
Priced the cuboid has quite a bit more power.

the problem i have with 3 batterie mods is the size, the cuboid still suits the rangers more than i need and yet i can fit it in my pocket unlike the more bulky 3 battery mods. It does not vape as well as others in the same price range and is akward to setup. But i was willing to sacrifice some of the plusses of the other mods for a mod that for me could do it all and the cuboid still does vape really well never the less.

If i was to buy a 3 battery mod it for me would be a stay at home only mod and because of the amount of time i spend in the house i could not justify it over the cuboid that can do it all. I also dont want more than one mod like some hRdcore vapours have.

I did really like the vtc tho and it did tempt me a lot but i just did the bigger is better option really, the cuboid goes hogher than both the rx and the vtc for basically the same price so future proofing reasons was the reason i picked the bigger cuboid.

I figured my evod mega e cig i had i got bored of after about 6 weeks with it not being powerful and me vaping more and more , and kind of had that mind set with the vtc v the cuboid and inwell i doubt ill ever need more than 150 w .

If the vtc say was even a tenner cheaper than the cuboid id of bought it but the price was basically the same , infact i think it was actually more by a pound if i can remmeber correctly.

Just don't ask me too much about a company that charged me £6.15 for re-bottled Dekang.

Let me put it this way; it took grown men to stop me giving them a piece of my mind at Vapefest 2013.

Sadly, most of the vaping world has absolutely no idea what they buy. It doesn't help when 20+ fake websites (UK) like to sign up cushy deals with commission and link-money.

The two top vaping review sites in both the US and the UK are advertising and money-making machines that have go nothing to do with genuine recommendations.

It's about the money. It's about getting people to pay $59.99 for a $29 tank.
and also in America, $119 for a $29 e-cig....

(Yes, I'm cross).

Oh funny you should say this about jac vapour because there is a pretty big youtube vaper video i watched the other day , believe hes american and he said he received threats from a uk company after reviewing that company's e liquid. Now he never actually mentioned the company but he said a uk company that i think we all who know who we are onabout or something like that. Now if you say at the vape meet jac vapour cant take criticism, basic probabilty tells me the company the guy in the video was talking about was jac vapour.

I have bought of uk vapour store? Is that any good ? Not recived my liquids yet tho.

Why do jac vapour seem to get high reciews including trusted vaping websites?

The dam payment system did not even work for me and i'm now glad thanks to what you have both said.

Any reccomend sites for high quality e liquds in the UK?

Ive just checked this out and is the quality really that good for 1 pound, tbh I was thinking it will be rubbish because last time i paid 1 pound for e liquid at home bargains i neally chocked to death haha. I will make some orders now and see if the reviews speak for their selfs .

Any decent flavours you would reccomned, drinks, sweets etc would like to try something creative as i only have menthol tobbaco and a bit ak47 haha .

Oh this is fun. :)

Many review sites are bogus. Follow the money. I can't work out exactly the situation you are talking about.

Like I said, certain elements of the vape world have created a massive jungle of people trying to make money from other people. They don't give a chit about vapers.

Homebargains e-liquid is dreadful on all counts.
B&M stores (88vape) is better, by a long way. The fruit twist is almost 'normal' quality although is just melon, basically.
£1 e-liquid sell some half decent juices. There are one or two tragic mistakes in there.

The real villains though are about 4 or 5 big and 'well known' stores that sell their own ranges of complete loo cleaner for £4.99 (NOT Totally Wicked, by the way)
We know who they are. They know who they are. 99p liquid for £4.99
It's a license to print money. Nobody stops them, because they have a zillion likes on facebook for giving people 20% off their orders.
20% of a product that is 50% too expensive is taking the peas.

Sadly, people don't care enough. They think... "ooh, it's cheaper than smoking and better for me" so it doesn't matter.
The community should have put some stores out of business, but even thousands of complaints (no joke) about one shop didn't stop them becoming the #1 online store in the UK.
Repeat business is not a necessity. You take people's money, you retire to the Bahamas and buy a big fat yacht. You pay off the reviewers and you basically bribe your customers with loyalty schemes and money off your next order.

I got threatened with legal action (from a brand of cigalike) after saying one cartomizer was not 40 cigarettes. That company sold out to a tobacco company for millions. Maybe I shouldn't blame them.

(Yes, I'm still cross)

Hahah ive actually got a bit strawberry 88 vape and its not to bad actually.

Yeah id imagine the Politicians or whateve or the fraud teams Wouldint give a .... about the vaping community because of the greif it gives the system. Before long in the UK we will probably be resticted on vaping power etc, with how uk laws generally are. Id imagine they wouldint raise an eye brow at investigating cases such as this.

I not guna lie i had the mentally oh its cheaper than smoking but is it really if your paying 8 quid plus for 10 mill.

I was one who would likely fall victom of spending stupid amounts on e liquids so would like to thank you all for saving me some coin.

Just did a order of one pound e liquid

Got the virgina 24 mg as its the same as i bough from uk vapour store for 4 quid so can compre it and also same with the menthol.

Cherry - 10ml E-Liquid

Heisenberg HVG - 10ml E-Liquid
Item Number LQ-GB-10-HVG-06 £0.83 GBP 1 £0.83 GBP
Menthol - 10ml E-Liquid
Item Number LQ-GB-10-M-12 £0.84 GBP 1 £0.84 GBP
Virginia Tobacco - 10ml E-Liquid
Item Number LQ-GB-10-VT-24 £0.83 GBP 1 £0.83 GBP

See what they are like

Surely with the postage charge, you should have ordered a few more flavours to check out at £1 each?

And *DAMN* - you managed to buy their Heisenberg! They are always sold out when I make my orders!

I vape their Cappuccino as my ADV, and I use to mix it with 50% naked diluent and 20% British Tobacco - I just cape the Cappuccino diluted now.

And 24mg?! Are you vaping in a CE4 clearo from 4 years ago? That'd blow most peoples' heads off vaped in a modern tank/mod.
