Hi everyone
just to let you know about my e cig experience
i have been trying to pack the fags in for years now and have failed everytime.
then i was told about e cigs,i was told that they are not intended to help you pack the fags in but they are a safer option.so after a brief search i opted for a vip e cig starter pack,i have to say i am totally amazed,7 days without a real ... "wow weeeeee "i hear you all say but believe me thats the longest i have ever gone and i did smoke upto 40 roll ups a day, first few days were hell as i still had cravings but with willpower 7 days on and hardley any cravings and im not smoking the e cig as much, probably 25 puffs a day.however i would like some advice on flavours,im looking for that real ... flavour or as close to it,i hope this helps all who are trying to kick the habit and look forward to joining in the forums.

Hi and welcome!

Read through the sticky thread at the top of New Members about tobacco flavor. It starts out with some guy trying to tell people they don't need tobacco flavor but if you read through the pages there are LOTS of comments where people list their favorite tobacco flavor.

What cigs did you smoke? For me and some others, FreedomSmokeUSA DesertShip smells like a freshly opened pack of cigs - strong, nutty and a bit pungent (it's a Turkish blend). I would vape it in 70pg/30vg or try 80pg/20vg for more TH. Their Camtel should be similar since it's also a Turkish blend. The Switchblade which only comes in 50/50 seemed to be like a blend of Turkish and something more peppery??? Some people like the Purecig at FreedomSMokeUSA (but it may need to steep). BTW - the Cocoa premixed at FreedomSmokeUSA is very strong and almost bitter and great for cutting the sweetness of a too-sweet tobacco or adding body and strength to a weak tobacco (or just to add cocoa since most real cigs have cocoa in them). And when a tobacco was not sweet enough for my taste I would add a vanilla or FSUSA's oRYental 4 (a sweet caramelly tobacco)

Some people recommend Viking Vapor's "Tampa" but I have never tried that.

Backwoods Brew is a good place to find all day vape tobaccos and other flavors.

Hi Paul.

I'm really new to this as well -- but from lurking here certain juice vendor names come up over and over --

2 that roll off the top of my tongue are:

Kick Bass Vapors
Backwoods Brew

But your best bet might be to lurk the ejuice forum I think, and read/search some of the threads there. I killed an hour or two just reading juice threads recently -- you'll start to see patterns to the comments pretty quickly.

One thing I read here that altered my original purchase -- stop for a sec and question whether you really want/need it to taste like tobacco.

I was dead set that I was going to go with tobacco flavors, but at the last second (based on reading a similar comment here about being surprised what you might like) I decided to get crazy and started with Vanilla and Green Tea (not together). The Vanilla was OK, about like I expected -- but the green tea knocked my socks off. Now I've got a peach that I really love, and any thought of going for tobacco flavors is gone.

Far be it from me to argue against your preferences -- but as someone else here said, you really might be surprised what you like.

The down side is that part of this decision was to save money -- which I could not do if I'd order all the juices I want to try now! :)

Ah yeah, sorry if I've been "that guy" here (your post wasn't there when I started typing). :) Not at all trying to suggest that, but for me there was a definite moment of "Yeah, I really didn't smoke because I loved the flavor of cigs, did I?" that dramatically changed my view on the whole idea of vaping when I read that post here -- just trying to provide an opportunity for the same moment to a fellow noob. :smokie:
