I was reading through the non-working carto fix thread and saw that some folks are having problems with carts that become difficult to draw. While this is related to the fix mention in the thread, I found there's another cause for it that I thought I would share...

Cause: If you spin the contact, then the atomizer will twist around as well.

I made this discovery during my process of refilling carts using the plunger method. Where I was going wrong was that I was applying a lot of pressure when wiping out the battery end of the cartomizer (I mean a LOT of pressure, to make sure the connector / threads were clean). This pressure was causing the connector part to spin and twist up the atomizer. This closes the center air channel, causing the hard / no draw problem. After a while the atomizer gets all messed up and the carto dies.

Now I wipe out the battery end gently to make sure the contact doesn't spin. This has solved the problem with the carto becoming increasingly hard to draw, and I have fewer dead cartos that I have to resurrect with the fix for non-working cartos.

In the case of a DOA cart, following the recommended procedure of 1/4 turn shouldn't cause this problem.

Hope this info is helpful.
