An Aargh-y New Year

You would think they would have arrived by now, but sadly not To be fair, I do live in a pretty remote location, so the post takes a little longer. Fingers crossed it'll turn up today. Rest assured, I'll let you know when it does!

In the meantime, I did manage to get to a chemist for other nicotine replacements. Still haven't unwrapped that pack of cigarettes I bought last Friday. Thanks to you guys keeping me company I've stayed on the wagon

I haven't blown up all of the computers, but I have killed the battery in my laptop with my Frankenmod. Not really that much of a surprise- it was never a good idea! And it could have been worse. The computer still works fine when plugged into mains power.

I'm now the proud owner of a 510 kit in brushed metal. Very shiny (quite literally). Are you excited? I sure am!

I've just taken her for her first spin, and I'm pretty impressed. Here's what I think so far:

* The manual battery works a little differently to the auto one I was used to. Apart from the obvious (duh), I've found it works best if I press the button for about a second before I draw. Gives the atty a chance to warm up, I guess. Has anyone else found this?

* Once advantage of the manual battery is that the button sticks out, and stops the PV from rolling off the desk!

* I have an orange LED instead of a blue one now. If I have to have an LED I think this is preferable. At least I can blend in with the smokers now, instead of drawing unwanted curiosity.

* The carts on the 510 are sooooo much easier to fill than the elusion cartomizers. You can just drop juice straight into the atty end of the cart without having to pull the whole thing apart.

* The blue foam mod is working for me without any dramas. Piece of cake.

* Vapor production is just as good as the elusion was.

* TH with the carts is not as good as the elusion was. Has anyone else compared the two? Can they confirm? I may just need to play around with the configuration a bit.

* Both TH and vapor are awesome with the stainless steel drip tip I got. The taste is brilliant too. How have I lived without one of these things!?

I can't talk about battery life yet, as I've only just started. The two devices are about the same size, so I'm guessing they'll be about the same. Which is fine for me, as I'm not really a very heavy vaper. If there's a drastic reduction in time I'll re-post.

So yeah, new toy=fun. So much fun that I think I should switch to 0 nic juice for a bit so I don't overdo it!

Can I just quickly say how wonderful you all are? Everyone's been so supportive on this journey-of-my-own-stupidity. You've kept me sane and offered me some great advice. You guys rock!!
