I am having some difficulty determining when my cartomizer is empty. At one point I am still getting vapor but I am also getting a burnt aftertaste. When I open the cartomizer of my PS ACE I see that a little of the wool is blackened. Is that an empty carto? Is it possible for it to be empty and still produce vapor? Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

I've been vaping for only a week now and I love it! I have also found it to be a very fast learning curve and this site is excellent for those critical tips.
You have to be careful if your cart is near empty as it can possibly damage your atomiser. I soon realised that the "different taste" that comes after a while, was actually my inexperienced attempts at inhaling polyester wool fumes and that I needed to top off the cart with more juice - wow what a difference it makes !

The vapour that you are still getting, even though the cart is empty, will be the juice that's left on the atomizer bridge. Once that goes, you're in trouble if you carry on vaping though!
