a 24 minute video is not exactly a "sound-byte" on the subject.
However, complicated and controversial subjects can't always
be reduced to a "sound-bye".

I found the video of value because I can link it when the subject
comes up in the future as well as send the video link to those
who are confused or "close minded" on the subject.

Well worth the 25 min to watch, even if you know a lot of what Fr Jack has to say it does a good job of getting it all together.

We live in a world today where most communication is electronic...
E-mails, Tweets, Facebook, Internet discussion groups, ETC
People find it easy to discount, argue, and or ignore ...
However, it's human nature to check out a video ...curiosity thing
and somewhat refreshing ... opposed to arguing points in text.

Instead of arguing a subject back and forth ...
I've often asked people to view a video and tell me what they think.
Kind of a friendly back-door approach to educating someone on a
subject ... especially a subject that is controversial or a subject
the other party might be some what closed minded to.

Harm Reduction ...
Proving to those opposed to e-smoking is always a challenge.
As long as those opposed to e-smoking use harm to the user
and or the public ... we can win that argument.

HOWEVER ... when it comes down to including e-cigs in smoking bans
we should accept we are really fighting a serious up-hill battle
because those who wish to include e-smoking in smoking bans
aside from health concerns (which we can win) ... have a serious
problem visualizing a vaper standing below a No Smoking sign
blowing vapor clouds ... and saying that's OK.

What I'm getting at is even if we discount ANTZ, BP, Prohibitionists, ETC ...
We are dealing with the general public, which includes those voting whether
or not to include e-cigs in smoking bans ... would prefer not seeing someone
blowing vapor clouds in Non Smoking areas ... and, in my opinion, this
plays a significant role in why e-cigs are included in smoking bans.

THEY just can't openly admit it and use health concerns as excuses
so not to appear Silly in their reasoning.

Agree 100% with your reasoning and conclusion. The public has been effectively brainwashed to the point of irrational fear of second-hand smoke, and most are either unable or unwilling (or both) to distinguish between smoke and vapor.

Would be interesting to hear from vapers living where winters are very cold and how they're greeted when no one could differentiate between vapor and simple cold-weather exhalation...

Even if EVERYONE on the planet knew
e-smoking was harmless to Everyone ...
Many would just prefer not seeing anyone
blowng vapor clouds in non-smoking areas.
If for no other reasons .... it reminds them
of smoking and its a distraction.

I don't approve of e-cigs banned in non-smoking areas
however, ... I do understand some things ... I'm not blind.
When I go to a family member's home ... who is a non-smoker
and doesn't permit smoking in the house but says its OK
for me to vape ... When I do ... The focus of attention
and conversation often changes from the weather to vaping.
:p
