Good morning folks :) I began vaping almost exactly a year ago and had great success with it for a couple of months. I was able to put the analogs down completely. Long story short, my son-in-law was murdered last Memorial Day weekend and I picked the analogs back up the night that happened. It was stress, I know that's a lousy excuse, but all I can blame it on.

I am now ready to try this again. But I am going to go about a little differently. I decided I was over wanting an e-cig that looked and felt like an analog. When I did this a year ago I invested in a 901. I was happy with it for the most part, but I did tire of the constant fooling around with refilling carts, etc. So this time, after doing some reading here to try to catch up on what might be new since I last tried this, I've decided to order a 510 and give the manual version a shot. I am also going to order one of the drip tips as this seems the ideal way to simply do away with the carts and all that mess. I think from what I've read I'd like the dripping.

So here I am, re-introducing myself after a long absence. I guess I'm hoping to use this forum as a sounding board and to learn all I can in the ever changing world of the e-cig.

Blessings,
Shellie

First off, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I doubt you will find anyone around here that wouldn't understand taking comfort any way you can find it, even in tobacco cigarettes.

Second, its awesome that you're "getting back on the horse" so to speak, and pursuing this healthier alternative.

I wish you all the best luck, and You've certainly come to the right place to get the latest, and most comprehensive info about everything e-cigarette.

I too am a 510 user, and I think you will love it. Eventually, the battery change-outs may get to be too much, so you may choose to upgrade to a PT or a larger battery. I'm awaiting delivery of my Janty eGo (uses my 510 atomizers, and cartridges, and lasts 4 or 5X longer than a regular 510 battery)

Welcome back, and never be afraid to ask questions around here. In my experience, the users, and vendors here are incredibly patient, and helpful.

Welcome back, from my own experience I very much enjoy my 510.I ordered mine from cignot and so far have had great luck with the service and products from them. Also the manuals are the way to go as i've heard nothing good about the auto's,(leaky, turn on by themselves,etc...)I have been getting my juice from them too and am very happy.I only use VG and my favorite flav's right now are Whiskey-Very strong flavor, tastes just like jameson and coffee flavor and they also go well together- Irish coffee:D but it's 3am and i am rambling a bit so welcome back and good luck:thumb::thumb:

Thank you for the kind words of "re-welcome", I knew I remembered how kind everyone here is!

I see by looking at the Cignot site that I could have gotten about the same deal that I got from Vaporheads, which is where I ordered my starter kit and a USB passthrough from. Ordered the drip tip from T Manufacturing.

I looked long and hard at the eGo and will likely be giving that a try assuming I like the 510, and I think I will. Just didn't want to invest quite that much in my first manual before knowing if I like using a manual or not. But I'm intrigued with that as well. I'll continue to follow the reviews on that one.

Do yourself a favor and skip the 510 batteries and jump straight to the eGo with 510 cartomizers.

I consider cartomizers to be the automatic version of dripping!!!!!

I'm glad you mentioned cartomizers as this seems to be something new since I was here a year ago, or I just don't remember them. How difficult/messy are these to refill compared to regular cart? I realize this would be the ideal solution to vaping while driving, etc. as dripping would be rather difficult in transit.

I do appreciate your feedback - thank you!

EGo has auto batteries too, and I also prefer autos over manuals but not on my eGo, I couldn't get with the auto on this device, needed more control and it doesn't have a light for the status of the unit so can't tell if the battery is dead, your time on your pull is up or if it's actually charging.

The cartomizers are simple. Put em on and off you go. Great for driving or anytime you don't want to mess with dripping. Easy to refill!! Hearing pretty good things about the 510 carts, which are pretty new.
Welcome back, and sincere condolences to you and your family.

Cartomizers are "carts" pre-filled with liquid and an atty all-in-one. They are not meant to be re-filled, rather they are designed to be disposable. (although, i'm sure someone came out with a way to refill them) Check out this link.....Cartomizers

They're not meant to be refillable but they are refillable. I find the condom method the easiest, the only waste is wiping off the cart when done. Do a search (condom method ) for the very detailed video that's somewhere on effect.

Hi Shellie and welcome back to the forum! I also have the 510 and love it, it's a great pv to re-start with and the manaul is great so you made a good choice. I've been using the 510 since I started a few months ago, and recently I ordered the Ego, just for better battery life and I can't wait for it to come in. Good Luck and Happy Vaping.

Funny thing about the eGo is, I was expecting this large battery the size of a salami to show up in the mail but when I opened it and placed the cartomizer & cone on, it was the size of a stubby cigar.

Having never actually seen any other e-cig other than my 901 (I don't actually know another soul who vapes) it's hard for me to gauge just how big something like the eGo is....I'm not even sure how big this 510 is, though I gather it's larger than my 901....at any rate, I too would consider the eGo specifically for longer battery life. I'm eager to try the passthrough too as I spend a lot of time sitting at the computer. That surely must help save on the batteries!
