Well here's an update. It got way worse. When I first got it, I was vaping 4.3v with no problems, no burnt taste, no popping coils, nothing.

Now, I can't vape above 3.8v or I get the burnt taste, and now I'm popping coils. I absolutely cannot be the only one who can't run a 2.5ohm coil at 4v+. This sucks because 3.6-3.8 gives me no throat hit, and vapor production is almost nonexistent.

Honestly, I had it at 3.0v last night. It's lowest setting, and lower than most egos go. It popped a damn 2.5ohm coil. That, to me, still makes me think it's firing WAY higher than it should be.

All this is seriously baffling me. My MVP 2 that I ordered on Monday should be here in about an hour when my mail comes. If that fires everything like my ego does, I'll be happy (since these came setups are still working fine when transferring straight from the vamo)

I also think it's the Vamo. But, and I really don't think this is going to make any difference but I can't think of anything else, have you tried another topper on the Vamo?

Well have you tried contacting the seller? I'm not sure how long you've had it nor who you got it from. (sorry if you said already i haven't read every posts)

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

I received it on 1/17/14 so it's just a bit less than 2 weeks old. It's getting worse each day.

Good news is my MVP 2 arrived in the mail today. It is a million times better. Honestly, I will always like my Vamo since it was my first mod. But the vape is a lot more satisfying with the MVP 2. Just like the vape was a lot better on the Vamo coming from my Spinner

All these mods in this price range are pretty much disposable devices. Most are good and last until they physically break. If you get a bad one you're out a few bucks. If I had not gone mechanical I would probably own a more expensive PV. I get that dependability now with ~$30 devices :)

You got the bad out of the way now so hopefully the MVP lasts.
