I wanted to post this here, not as an obvious plug for my blog on the Bluegrass Vapers website (although I guess it's so), but because I thought this an appropriate response to just about any yahoo who obviously comes to a gunfight weaponless.
I appreciate any comments here or on my blog!

To Those Who are Definitely Concerned:
As an advocate of [insert supporting issue here], it is not my or any advocates intention to make you a supporter of our cause; on the contrary, it is only our intention to educate you as to why we support it. Ignorance is not, and should never be considered, a bad word. We use this word for lack of a better term; especially since it is the terminology that certainly fits the situation best.
It is our sincerest hope to furnish you with facts to supplant any questionable information you may have been provided with from credible sourcessources that we should both be able to trust to conduct all business with the utmost of integrity and without the advent of bias. Unfortunately, this is just not the case, so you are filled with plausible falsities masquerading as solid facts. And why shouldnt you trust these venerable sources? As government- [run, supported, funded] institutions, it stands to reason that any conclusion made could never be influenced by outside influence such as lobbyists, corporate interests, political dogma, or blatant self-interest.
Of course you have chosen to be skeptical (as any good researcher should be), and have researched all of the issues you use to support your own stance against us. You realize the importance of being self-informed, since it is the only way to truly come to an appropriate conclusion. You have taken the appropriate steps to vet each and every one of your hypotheses. You understand that the irresponsibility of leaving it up to the opposition to prove your assertions is ludicrous and lazy; you further understand that it is the responsibility of the questioner to answer his own questions in matters such as these.
Since you, as I, are a person who feels the truth will out, I can only come to two conclusions: either you have not taken the necessary steps to take up a contrary position, or you are a liar: because I have taken those steps necessary to support my conclusions. I can, without equivocation, refer to my assertions as facts. Since I believe you to be a person of integrity in matters of consequence, I can only further assume that you could also refer to my assertions as facts, if you chose to do so. Because it would be unfathomable to myself and my fellow advocates to think your contrary assertions are nothing more than rhetoric.
Whether you choose to support our cause or continue to spout contrary propaganda to further your own, we just want you to know that we understand.
