An RDA newbie's first coil

So I got an IGO-W to go along with my new Magneto, so here'e my first attempt at a coil.

1.8 Ohm. 8-9 wrap micro coil (wrapped in a 1/16th drill bit), 30g Kanthal with a 2mm silica wick. Tested/Ohmed on my MvP because safety is a thing... and again on a multimeter since I'm paranoid.

And I have to get a shot of my new mod in here too... kind of excited

At first it kind of sucked, low vapor and crappy taste. Drilled out the air holes with the 1/16th bit and it's much better now. A much cooler vape than I was expecting.

Coil looks solid! I think you may have over done it with the wick in my opinion... But since I've been doing micros, nanos, and other rda builds I've converted to cotton as a wick for all my builds (I have so much ekowool and silica sitting around I'm likely never to use!)

With you're ohms reading over 1.5, youre definitely going to get a cooler vape, depending on what your preference is, I like a build around 0.5-0.8 ohms. To make this easier for future builds, I've started writing in a notepad. I write down the; number of wraps, what I wrapped around, what kind of wire, the ohm reading and how I liked it. Makes it easier when you record everything.

Good idea. I need to start doing that.

I cast another vote for cotton..I use dual nanos wrapped on a sewing needle.
32ga 12 wraps X2 @ .9ohms
