Ok, so I love love love my clearo, want more, get in stock quick please : )

But that's not my question. I cleaned it, refilled it right away and it worked good. Then went to fill it again and the juice wasn't going down inside because there was a little plastic ring kind of sitting on top of the coil, just kind of floating there. It's not the one that goes on the tip, that one is fine. So I pulled it out, and the clearo leaked a little without it. Pushed it back down in there, and the clearo works. Hmm. So where exactly did it come from? I'd like to try to put it back where it belongs. It's just sitting there, kind of crooked, once again, taunting me.

This vaping stuff is weird.

ETA: Wow, 46 views and no one has a clue what this piece is or where it goes? Interesting.

Yes, is that where it's supposed to go? Like right inside the opening, under the metal ring? I don't know how it came loose, or how to get it back to that spot, but I'll give it a shot. It has to go past the metal ring or things won't fit : )

Not really able to post pictures of it, but yeah, it looks like it could be silicone.

It's kind of just leaving a little bubble of juice on the batt, and it's a little gurgle-y in the tip. When I pushed that ring back inside and then replaced the tip, it stopped leaking.

Sitting down, facing forward.
There is a silicon "O" ring inside the clearo right at the top. It normally stays "captive" in the groove that is machined inside the clearo. There is a second "O" ring that is on the mouthpiece tip itself. Then, there is the silicon cap on top of the atomizer/air tube assemble. If that inner "O" ring come out I would expect leaking and gurgling to happen.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied.

Looking for the "What he said button" To be honest in all the time I've used the Clearos and I take mine apart and clean them every week whether they need it or not I have never had that silicone seal at the top of the tank come out. It does sit in a groove that is basically created where the metal top is pressed onto the tank and should go right back in. I just pulled one out and put it back in to see and the clearo is not leaking and works fine so it should be fine. They are hard to get out too, I almost think they are pinched between the top and the tank but they will go back in. One little tip, don't use tweezers because they are sharp and will tear the seal they will also punch a hole in the little cap that goes over the coil/wick assembly. I use a pair of hemostats, I have several different kinds that I bought at the pharmacy and they work much better than tweezers because they have little grooves for gripping and the ends are blunt so they won't puncture any of the soft silicone parts.:2c:

Hehe a picture of it would help some. There are 2 little white O rings like awsum stated. It could be that there were 2 o ring on the mouthpiece. I have put two of the o rings on the mouthpiece before to try and stop the leaking.

I just thought.. This is the pre X2 version. I never did like them because they leaked for me and the mouth tip would get too hot for me.

Hi Philly, I'm guessing here, but is there a silicone type ring at the top of the plastic part of the clearo--inside the top metal sleeve? If not, perhaps that's where it came from?

yes that should be the only one...
Was that a fix on the latest version? I've only used the original ones, with the short wicks, and it doesn't seem to have that. Got sick of the tiny drips on the battery post, but hmmm...might have to try the new ones now...

I have never used the original version with the short wicks, but using two long wick clearos recently purchased. I still have the drop of liquid on the battery post. With my experience and comments here in the forum, I stopped filling them to the fill line of 1.6ml, and only put in about 1ml, still have the drop on the battery post until I vape for a while.

Once I stopped taking the clearos off the battery to fill them, I stopped getting any leaks whatsoever. It is counter intuitive to do that but I have not had even a drop on the battery post. I also use a needle tip on my juice bottles making filling fast. I will still move to the T3 if they perform like the 510 versions do. I love the bottom coils. Looking forward to receiving my new nanos tomorrow.

Leave it to me to have some unique weird problem : ) Well, not really a problem, because for some reason as long as that seal is in there, even though it's loose, the clearo works. Works really well, too. When are they coming back in stock? :2cool:
oh well philly in this little country town down under ur not alone.....we can be weirdos......im so glad someone else had this little ring thingy..geeezs I feel special....me first clearo.....

Gotta post a second time one this one. In my original post I talked about two silicon "O rings. They were what was inside the clearos I bought back in August. I just bought some from the latest batch and the inner "O" ring seems to have been replaced by a silicon flat washer. If that comes out, from my experience with it, there is no way to put it back in and adding it to the seal at the mouthpiece tip makes the washers too thick to screw in the mouthpiece rendering the clearo a leaker.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warranty or guaranty is expressed or implied.
