Hello everyone!
Let me start with a thank you. To all the innovative people out there who first thought of and then created these PVs, ecigs, alternatives to analogs. And thank you for all the suppliers that continue to make these available, and provide tasty flavorings!!
I bought my first in January, and have been analog free since Jan. 19.

My story in a nutshell. Had been smoking analogs my entire adult life. Usually about 1 PPD, but sometimes (when out and about) more. Never wanted to quit. In fact I stated more than a few times that I would only quit when I woke up one morning and said "I'm done". (I was the ONLY smoker in the entire family)

Flash forward to that day in January when a virtual stranger started telling me about an ecig her brother used to quit. Went home and started researching online. Found many helpful sites, this one included. Did some pricing, did some more research. Actually went to the mall to see one up close, (knew I would not be buying their over-priced e-cigs but needed to see if I would be comfortable holding one in my hand). Heard their pitch and pricing, and said no. Home that evening... online placed order for my very 1st ecig. It was an l88b. Simple start but wow, was it effective. I tried one analog the morning after only vaping that first day, and was shocked at how bad it tasted. Analog free ever since. Amazing.

So, to sum it up, hundreds of dollars later, I now own multiple PVs. My first l88b units, 510s (regular and mega), 901s, 808s, Riva, Ego, H016, passthroughs (many of them). 100s and 100s of mls of a vast array of flavors, lest I get bored, ha ha, not going to happen. I am even started to look into the various mods out there... One can never have too many PVs..

I feel 100% better, I breathe easier (and I did not realize I didn't breathe well before), my annoying little morning cough is completely gone since mid-February. My brother recently told me my voice is clearer now (didn't noticed I had been scratchy sounding). My car windows sparkle without daily cleaning. My clothes, hair, skin and breathe are fresh, not ashtray smelling. Funny thing is, I still have the last 2 packs of analogs I bought just before my first kit arrived, ?? haven't thrown them out, but I KNOW I will never ever open them... Hmm.. maybe I will toss them tomorrow....

Thanks again... without knowing it... you all contributed to my success... I hope I also can contribute to someone else's. I have been reading posts since January on this forum, among others, but never posted here on the ECF before... call me shy?! But I really wanted to put it out there now .... thank you thank you thank you!!!

P.S. sorry I rambled a bit...

Congrats and welcome!

I could have written the same things, other than I'm almost at 2 mos not 7. I already feel and breath so much better...in 7 mos I can only imagine how much better right now feels. Personal stories always touch so many people, whether you realize it or not...and I hope that tonight you do realize that your story speaks volumes to us noobies still coming up the ranks!

thanks to all of you!!

I should also add, during the past 7 months, I have converted 7 co-workers from analogs to PVs. Of those 7, 6 have quit analogs completely, 1 is still on the fence. From those 7 converts, an additional 12 or so friends and family of theirs have also converted over (not sure of success rate with them).

All this because of 1 person telling me about a PV, trying it myself, and then me showing it to a few people and explaining the process, then them telling others, which led back to me having to teach more people about them, etc... (did not mind one bit).

For a while there I was doing all the ordering for them (7 people) and passing them out as I received them.... I finally told them how easy to order it was, and gave them the websites I used for their stuff, so they could order themselves. (for a few months I had orders coming in almost daily).

I guess that saying "paying it forward" applies here!!

Thanks again,
See you around the forum!! ;)

LeesaRN, Congrats on your success and hope to hear more from you on the forum. I know what you mean about converting people, When MI imposed the indoor smoking ban a lot of my co-workers were up in arms and I suggested they try ecigs. About 20 people tried them and several asked where I got mine. I was happy to tell them. Most of them only use it at work but a couple have dabbled with taking it a little farther and we often sit at break and try out each other's cool new flavors or we have question and answer sessions and a lot of people ask me questions about most anything ecig. I am more than happy to do it. If people aren't happy with the ones that are available locally, they ask me where to go and I recommend suppliers. I try to be aware of what's going on so that I can give solid info. I truly believe in what I'm doing and I'm sure the suppliers I recommend don't mind. Ultimately, I would LOVE to see each and every one of these people to put down the analogs. They are my co-workers and my friends and I care about their health, but until they are ready I am here planting the thought in their head and hoping they will at least try. Congrats again and keep spreading the word! :)
