What percentage of people who soke analogs stick with vaping after starting and what percentage fall back to old tobacco?

Anybody who's been on this forum for a while have any idea?

I love to smoke 2 cigs on my hour long commute in the morning
1 smoke mid day
2 smokes on the way home...
That's 5 smokes a day...

then the weekends when i drink i might smoke half a pack to a full pack on a long night....

I'm debating getting a little chuck but to get started with that i'm looking at spending $150 at least to get going...and if i don't like it, that's a big waste...

Thanks for your opinions...!!

I think most on this forum have switched over either entirely or almost entirely.

I had just hit my one month mark the other night when I got a little curious...
I grabbed a pack of open marlboro menthols I had leftover when I started vaping, and took one outside. Then I had to refill my zippo, and try again lol

1 puff and I was gagging so bad I put it out there and then. Let me tell you, stale cigs are a great way to feel good about quitting them.

I'll stick to my menthol vapor instead ;)

After smoking 1 1/2 pk/day M'boro reds for 30+ years, you'll be ok as long as you "want" to stop. The transitition was rather easy, and as someone who hates his liver worse than his lungs:rolleyes:, I'd say a Mod of some sort would be a good investment as you can resell it for a reasonable recoup if it doesn't work out.

The forum doesn't let you put in a "signature" until after you've had a few more posts. It's to cut down on people joining just to advertise and spam.
I think the magic number is 15 posts, so you're almost there. Then the signature is just below the avatar link in your control panel.

The only time I have gone back to analogs was when my batterys both died..now i carry my charger with me :) when i first ordered my kit, I was planning on just vaping at home and smoking in the car and at work. Did NOT work out that way! By the end of the first week I was maybe at 1 analog a day and it was horrible the whole time. I never smoked a full analog again after I started vaping. They just taste too horrible.

If you're looking to replace a 5 cig a day habit, it seems to me that a Chuck is a bit of overkill. I got a 510 kit (2 bats, 2 attys, 5 Marb carts), 2 bottles of 20 ml each of juice, a car adapter and a pack of 5 blank carts for $63 shipped from cignot.com, and as of right now, that is plenty for a pack-a-day Camel straight smoker.

Rat, I will have to respectfully disagree with you...lol I did NOT want to quit smoking.... but my dear hubby loathes smoking.... I tried to quit many times and failed just as many... plus the added weight... so it came down to I was either gonna keep smoking or I was gonna quit and we were both gonna be miserable.... then I got turned on to these.... I just can not imagine every going back to analogs....

Thank you Raenon.... I guess I will just wait patiently for my 15th post......

My wife and I have not smoked an analog cigarette since our first ecig kits arrived in July. Haven't wanted one since that day. Don't want one. Don't need one. Don't even think about them. She smoked for about 30+ years and I had smoked for about 40+ and I was at two packs a day when we quit.
I agree with Raenon, I think the vast majority in here have stopped totally or very, very rarely have an analog cig.

Does anybody have friends who have seen you vaping...tried yours out...and were totally against it??

if so what were their reasons?

Thanks again for your insight!!

hmmm.... my mother said she didn't think it would satisfy her cravings, but she is a very negative type know it all kinda kill joy.... I love her, but those are the facts....

Everyone else that has tried mine LOVES them.... 3 of my friends are now smoke free for a week give or take since they ordered theirs from trying mine...

Its been a little over two weeks for me. I've adapted well to my PV and have no desire to smoke. This thing is superior in nearly every regard. Why would I want to smoke?

I laugh every time I hear the FDA's argument that e-cigs will be a spring board to smoking analogs......and I laugh loudly....I mean why?? If you have an e-cig half you battle is over..... why would you go from something that is realatively inexpensive, no smell, no smoke, no fire hazard, no dirty looks from friends and family, to something that has all of the above and will kill you faster??? That's a real head scratcher there....

actually...no everyone who has tried it has either switched or is planning to. you know how smokers are, they will switch when they are ready. i personally, went all impulsive with switching. it went from an idea to an action within two days. its BETTER than smoking in every way. the only part thats hard is detoxing from the OTHER chemicals you are addicted to in the cigarettes...and its really not that hard. this is from a 1.5 to 2 pack a day smoker of 16 years. :D

I agree completely, but something tells me reality and people's health are playing no part whatsoever in what they are doing.

I quit from day one and haven't looked back. I wish I had a really good explanation .. of how or why .. but I honestly don't. I still find it hard to believe I haven't reached for a cigarette since I started vaping. I chain smoked 2 pks/day and smoked for 20+ yrs. I bought the e-cig in a last ditch effort to cut down, I never expected or intended to quit. I know the experience is definitely not the same for everyone, but it has been easy for me.

I'm like Tristar, I wasn't expecting to quit analogs. Why would I of been when nothing worked before....at all. The only time in my life I went without smoking was when I was in the hospital for 13 days..two days after I got out I was right back to smoking. Now, the only time I have the twidge for one is in the morning, mornings are a little hard but after a few vapes I am good to go :)
