Just got my order in yesterday! All gassed up (so to speak) and started first thing this a.m.! I am so excited. Haven't had to smoke an analog yet and am going to try really hard not to but won't beat myself up if I do. I started on 26mg of nicotine because I know myself!! Hopefully wean down to whatever. I'm SO psyched and wish I knew about these years ago. 33 year/PAD smoker. Major test will be the tiki bar....will try not to cave. Don't want to appear pretentious with my awesome ecig either.

I think that especially if you have been a long time, heavy smoker, it can make the transition to vaping easier in the long run. For a lot of people, that is the best plan. That way you can compare the differences and similarities of each. Then, you can just allow yourself to start choosing which one you prefer to use most of the time. Then, when you are comfortable with it, decide when to let go of the cigarettes completely.

Hey all. I went from smoking a pack of analogs a day and now started vaping and smoke about 5 a day. I find it easier to slowly wean myself off analogs rather than quit. Do you think this is harmful to do both? Keep in mind it is a means to an end and plan to shortly stop analogs all together.

Nope. Not everyone quits the day they get their kit! In fact, most don't. Move at a pace that is comfortable to you.

Eventually, cigs will start to taste bad anyway. ;) But if you find yourself really struggling to get rid of those last few cigs, you can try increasing your nicotine level, or using a smokeless tobacco product like snus or snuff for urges your e-cig can't handle.

One thing that worked pretty good for me was buying Marlboro 100's so my njoy npro would fit in with my cigs. When I first got started, I would try and alternate between analogs and the pv. It made it feel more natural opening a pack of smokes up. Didn't do that for long, but I think it helped some.

Wow, that's a really good idea...

Thanks. I really don't know how effective it is lol, but I'm heading towards my one year mark so I had to of done something right. Even though it's been a while I still remember how jittery it made me to even think of not having an analog for an entire day. As a matter of fact, I got down to one analog a day for almost two weeks before I made the jump to none. It scared me to think of going back.
