Hey all,

I love vaping:D I'm amazed how successful it's been in cutting down my analog smoking... and I tried it all: gum, lozenge, chantix, cold turkey, etc. Gum and lozenge taste like utter crap and don't help with cravings; and at the end of the 2 week "you can still smoke" period for chantix... I wasn't able to put those little cancer sticks down and was scared that the chantix was going to do more harm to me (or someone else since it can cause homicidal ideation) than the cigarettes themselves.

Here's the kicker... when I picked up my first e-cig (a cheap knock-off 8084 from a mall kiosk) I wasn't even trying to quit!!! I was aware of e-cigs and was "educated" by a user last year; but never did pull the trigger and look at them seriously. Now I've gone from a pack+ per day to less than 3 analogs, and that number gets smaller each day!

I've moved up from that cheap knockoff to an NPRO... boy was that a mistake. A battery failed on day 2 and the cartomizers they ship with taste like absolute .... (not to mention a 66% DOA rate on the cartomizers). Luckily I picked up a bit of liquid with my cheap knockoff... so I've been surviving;)

I just ordered an eGo from Phil at e-smokeytreats.com and can't wait to get it! I also ordered some liquids from Vaporrenu.com. Great prices and Jason is very responsive to customers. I'll do a review once they arrive (Flavors: chocolate mint, honey, orange cream, Re(4)nu menthol and "That Sticky Icky"... man I have high hopes for that last one... pun intended lol, I'm hoping it'll bring back fond memories).

I'm really glad I found this forum; so much helpful info! If only I was less impulsive I wouldn't have wasted my money on the NPRO... Don't get me wrong; it vapes nice (when the cartomizer works, that is) and it does the job... it just seems like more of a gimmick item targeted toward the un-informed.

BTW, I'm a freelance 3d/digital artist. I've noticed that some of you have your own e-cig businesses and I've been seeing kiosks jumping up all over the place so I have to figure some of them are perusing this board as well. With that in mind, there might be some prospective clients among the user base here, so I figure I'd throw that out there for anyone who might need the services of a digital artist:) Branding, 3D demo animations, web stuff, whatever... I'm flexible:)

anyway, just sayin' hi:)

Great to hear you are enjoying your new vaping lifestyle.

As for the scammers and the schemers, just like the infomercials on tv where you get one free as long as you pay five times what the product is actually worth for them to ship it too you, there will always be those who care more for making a buck than building a business. I actually blame the FDA for a lot of this, because folks like me who might consider founding a business based on my personal experience to help newbs/vets alike get a good deal and trusted supplier are scared away by the chance that all our hard work could go up in smoke literally if they ban it or regulate it to death.

So here come the kiosks. Cheap kits, smartly packaged, may or may not work for you, they dont care as long as they make enough money they will still be there to cheat the uninformed impulsive shopper (which lets face it is a good description of most consumers) Why else would Walmart have all those yummy looking candy bars staring at you while you are waiting to check out. American consumers are kings of the impulse buy. And a good sales pitch seems to catch more flies than quality product at a fair price. Why would I buy your cheap 510's when I can buy an overpriced kit that says it'll last forever. (Little do I know that I just paid for a fancy wrapper on a 510) Gotta love capitalism. Fortunately as with anything, there are good and bad apples.

Just gotta find that good apple and make sure you support those vendors over the gimmicks.

Holy crap, I haven't even had the chance to refill my cart and already 3 responses. I love active forums like this:D

What really roped me into the NPRO was because I bought it at njoycigarettes.com... which is a BBB accredited business. So, I thought I was informed (brand name, bbb accreditation, cheaper than the kiosk... can't go wrong, right? WRONG!). Little did I know how compicated this market is... plus all the product numbers confused me;) Now I know better.

My advice to anyone new to this is to spend a couple days here rooting around before you purchase anything.

However, even though a basically threw away $250 on being scammed... vaping is still way more cost effective than smoking analogs (it's just going to take an extra month before I break even).

btw, I have a buddy in Croatia who wants to pick some up for his family members who smoke... anyone got a recommendation for vendors that will ship to Croatia?

Couple of days. LOL try two weeks (before 1st purchase) still messed up a little then two months later I'm still learning this that or the other. Steep learning curve for sure, again it's a matter of how much effort you want to put in to get the result you want. If money is no object, buy one of everything and then you'll find the perfect kit through trial and error. If you a cheap:censored:like me :D you'll bend over backwards to make the right choice the first time so you end up closer to the mark without so much invested.

Almost any of them should, there are many in the UK that ship to US so dont see any issues with Croatia unless they have a customs issue. Shipping is the main issue as it adds up unless you know what you want and buy in bulk.

And I hear you on the BBB thing. I swear that's the biggest scam ever pulled, but at least if they are BBB accredited when you complain to the BBB, they are more likely to act than if you just email their service dept. (Although most of the vendors I've found will email you back the same day if you do, and I honestly dont know if they are BBB or not) Their sites were simple to the point and they had what I was looking for so was willing to give them a shot. Like you said even $200-300 in I'm still way ahead of analogs.

Okay, here I am---a defender (of the atty anyway).
The atty I use is the RN4081 and it is a little workhorse and creates really good vapor. It's the rest of the hardware (as in the battery) that stinks.
As most know already, I use the atty on the NicoStick and Wall Wart mods and with the right power supply----wow.
The other thing is WHERE I buy. It's not from Njoy, it's usually from Heaven's Gifts and the atty is like $5.50 a pop.

The above comments sound like I have taken offense but I haven't.:)
And to the OP, WELCOME.

Consider me your recycling center for Njoy Pro, Smoking Everywhere Gold, Cloud 9, Smoke 51 Trio, and DSE103 dead batteries.
Other hardware if it’s still usable.
Those I loan out to/give to thank you.

I agree these boards are great...I got lucky and read the forums before being scammed. I am a Joye510 e-cig who drips. I also took the little wick out of my atomizer and get great vapor, taste, throat hit, etc. I have heard great things about the ego...and Phil at e-smokeytreats is amazing, fast cheap reliable.

Keep messing around with juices, it's all about the juices. PG/VG flavors nicotine levels. I had to increase my nicotine level to 36mg. I vape less and really never think about cigarettes any more. Amazing !!

I just got my eGo cartomizer a few hours ago..

screwed it onto my 510 disposable auto battery and WOW all I can say is it's like nothing I've puffed on(2 different models lol)

This thing is a smoke machine!!!!!

The no name starter kit that came with 10 cartomizers and the 510 disposable kit with 3 refills dont even belong in the same zip code with this thing..

I can draw through this thing easier than a cigarette and get twice as much smoke and I say smoke instead of vapor because it feels like a big hit from a cigarette!

I think I found what i was looking for with the eGo cartomizer. You gonna luv it!!!

I don't doubt the atty is good... but the NPRO didn't come with an atty, just some crappy cartomizers:(

If I could find some reliable batteries for the 4081 I'd keep using it... but I'm not to the point of modding so I don't think that's gonna happen with the stock batteries currently available for it. As it stands the 510/ego seems the best route for me because of its interchangeability (except the charger, of course)... and with an adapter I can use 901 batteries in a pinch:)
