No doubt a success story. Watch and see, as you become more accustomed to e-cigs, at some point analogs begin to taste like crap. Least that is true in my case.

Now if I can just get the wife vaping, think I'll go buy a new car or something. Between the 2 of us, even in a low tobacco tax state like Georgia, I've been spending around $500 a month on cigs!

Congratulations to you and your wife! That is a huge success story! You should be really proud of yourself.

At 3-5 packs a day, you have a very strong "hand to mouth" connection, plus, the cigarettes were present all the time. I've found that vaping does really well to satisfy both of those habits/cravings.

I didn't quit right away, either. Like you, I dropped down considerably at first, and after the first few weeks, I gradually lost interest in smoking as the vaping took over and was just as satisfying. More so because I didn't have to deal with the smell and smoke in my house, car and on my clothes. And I loved all the different tasty flavors!

Stick around ECF. I believe this forum and all the support you get from the wonderful people here really helps to keep you motivated and vaping happily.

I understand where you were coming from Blackwolf7. I was rolling my own cigarettes as well. I delayed switching to vaping for a full year because I thought vaping would be more expensive than smoking. It wasn't until about a week ago that I made the decision to quit smoking analogs in spite of the perceived increase in cost. Because of insufficient research, I chose to purchase Green Smoke brand e-cigarettes. (If I continued to use Green Smoke, the increased cost would have been true.) I didn't discover this forum until the day my order came in. I am now waiting on the arrival of my Boge Revolution. With this device I will finally be able to reduce my daily expense below that of rolling my own smokes. Like your situation my wife is interested in quitting smoking as well. I should have done this a year earlier.
