did it say "might take UP to 8 hrs" ?

you should not charge UN attended (mostly sleeping)
once a Li-Ion battery is full charged, continuing to charge can harm it internally
I only use a wall charger, just because IF there is a problem I don't risk my computer
I don't allow my batteries to drain very low and recharge time usually about 40min - 90 min
have you ever read the numbers on your charger? (wall adp and USB cable)
one line will say OUTPUT: 500mA or 450mA or 420mA -- the bigger number will charge faster

use it hard, charge it up and vape some more ... ;)

I honestly didn't think it was a problem because it recommended charging it for the first time for 8 hours. The exact wording in the included pamphlet is: Recommended charge time is 8 hours at first time use.

Picture of pamphlet: pamphlet.jpg

The charger says: Model: USB-S001, Input: DC5V, Output: DC4.2V - 420mA

Just a reminder, if anyone did not mention it.

Use A/C plug only when possible.

2~3 bucks for usb wall charger vs having to replace the motherboard on your computer!

I think your battery and charger are both fine.

Cheers

LOL, yeah, good advice! My kit did come with a wall charger, so I'm using that from now on! Eleven and a half hours and the battery is still running strong... after only charging for 1 1/2 hours! I'm seriously impressed with this battery! :)

Oh, and butterscotch e-liquid rocks socks! :D

a lot depends on the battery and the charger. Some ego style batteries will shut off automatically after charging and are safe to leave untended, some are not protected and have warnings to not leave untended for fear of blowing up. I usually used my usb port on my tv for charging ego;s so I could see when it was fully charged. longest time for me was 3 hrs, typically 1.5-2 hrs was the norm for me. Now that I use a mod that utilizes 18490/18500 batteries, it's no longer a concern. Unusually 2 hrs. and they are charged. Charger goes to standby once battery is charged so can go to sleep and wake up to full power.

ithink i have the same if not a simiilar battery (ego-t 650) mine takes about 2 hours to charge from my laptop. maybe the output of your usb's is higher than average so its charging quicker? plus even if it says 3-4 hours on the packaging, its usually refering to a 1100 or 900 battery (900 taking 2-3 hours)
if its still worrying you, just kee an eye on how long it lasts before the battery goes flat, if your hardly using it and its lasting half a day, it may be faulty to which you should be able to take it back to the retailer/seller for a replacement or a refund. x

Good point! I'm not sure what the output is on my laptop's USB port(s). It took 1 1/2 hours to charge on the computer, it took 2 1/2 with the wall charger. The 1 1/2 hours to charge gave me 12 1/2 hours of use. And I'm a fairly consistent hitter; not constant, but not far from (constant).

I'm clocking it now to see how long the battery lasts after charging for 2 1/2 hours with the wall charger, to see if there's a difference.

Curiosity killed the cat, you know. :)

Um, is something wrong with the forums here? Or maybe I did something weird/wrong? It says I can reply to existing threads, but that I can't create a new thread.

At first I thought maybe the forum was undergoing some form of maintenance, but I'm seeing new threads pop up, so others can post but I can't?

Can someone point me in the direction of how to fix this, please?

Trying to post in other sections?

Some have time+post count requirements. Some even verification is needed ( classified )

Check new members faq

The FAQ says that new members have to post 5 times before being allowed to post in any forum beyond the New Members' forum, but I can't find anything that says a new member is given a maximum number of posts they are allowed in the New Members' forum.

I am seriously confused. :(
