Called V4L and received an RMA number, will ship the unit back first thing tomorrow morning via FedEx.

So far seems most are happy with this unit. I guess there is bound to be one or 2 that have an issue. Good to know V4L will take care of it.

Well mine experienced it's first drop today. It fell from a height of about 3 feet onto carpeted floor with little cushion and now has a hairline crack on the upper section across the rubber nub below the button. None of the functionality seems to have been affected at all, and I can probably put a quick repair on that crack. Either way be careful with your device, because it does appear to be a bit fragile.
