Greensound SOLE eLips 360 Kit - FOUR COLORS[h=3]
$19.95[/h]GotVapes graduates this product out of ALPHA testing! Response was almost universually positive - The Greensound eLips/Ovale-style SOLE 360mah Kit. The SOLE is the single battery packaged kit (see the pictures to the left)of the Greensound eLips Ovale style PV.

The kit features a 5 click on/of safety feature with a plug-in two-prong clearomizer conection system. In the tradition of the eLips Ovale it is of course, oval and EXTREMELY comfortable to hold in your hand, perfect vape-ergonomics you might say - lightweight, easy lay of your fingers across a fairly flat oval design but providing you enough battery power not to wimp out on you within an hour, depending on your vaping habits.

The cartomizer holds ~1.2ml of ejuice and is very easy to fill:
  1. Take off the mouthpiece by wiggling it side to side for a bit then pull off.
  2. You can then tilt slightly and fill right out of a dropper bottle right down its sides - wide and plenty of clearance for a regular bottle dropper tip.
  3. Fill to about 1/2mm - 1mm or so below top of the tube.
  4. Recap the mouthpiece securely.
  5. Wait a minute or so to wick, and vape.

The oval clearomizer that comes with it has been performing very very well with absolutely no leaking - please allow 4-5 vapes for the system to start shining. It holds about 1.2ml of eJuice and has a top-coil design. Juice is fed to a thin filler sheet through small holes dotting either side of the center steel tube, and then transferred to wicking. In our testing it vaped nearly dry before feeling the need to refill.

In the pictures to the left you will see the USB charging plug. On one end you will see the nokia-style plug that plugs into a hole at the bottom of the SOLE and of course on the other end is your USB plug that plugs into your computer's USB port for charging. When plugged into your computer the power button will light a bright red. When it is finished charging it lights up green. The SOLE seems to come with a good charge, but it may be a good idea to charge fully before use.

The Greensound eLips Ovale SOLE Kit:
  • You receive, with this particular listing: ONE 360mah Greensound SOLE elips ovale style battery.
  • USB/Nokia-style charger
  • 1.2ml oval clearomizer @ 2.5-2.9ohms
  • Battery is 69mm high and 118mm high when assembled with clearomizer.
  • Fully packaged and branded as you see on the left.

Yep, top coil with wicks and filler around it all inside the metal tube. Makes cleaning it more complicated since you have to wait a while for it to dry.

Also wanted to add one thing on top of what Dan says about waiting for it to absorb before vaping: This thing will most likely absorb quite a bit of juice and you might like to add some more before you start on it. Not necessary, but it really is a huge absorber... if that's even a phrase...

We have been really pleased with this. We have not had one ticket involving any issues with this malfunctioning so far. We are keeping an eye on this. We do have the clearos on the site for this (which are excellent by the way) but it looks like we may need to get a refresh on that stock.

Return rates will hurt the future of a product in our store. It also affects price. This is priced low but if you get any sort of out of the ordinary return rate it kills any profit and can put you in the red, besides the issues of time involved in handling a customer service ticket. Many think we get credited back on returned PVs and its not always the case. The manufacturers don't always make it easy. Right now I am sitting on 35 returns on eGo Twists over the past several months and we were credited for 8 of them, they want us to send the other ones back to China and its quite a hassle and expensive to do so, in the daily mix of running a business sometimes you just never get around to it and you have to eat the loss. So products that are reliable have a special place in our heart. When the return rate and issues are negligent we can afford to offer a lower price on something like this.

This is a winner dannoman. I'm ordering more. I've had my eye on this model since the early summer. Glad you decided to pull the trigger. Great price point. Not interchangeable with the Ovale batteries but no leaks that plagued the Elips. It will vape while recharging. You might want to offer a charging cord as an option.

dannoman,

After rereading my post, it might not have been clear that I was comparing the Greensound Elips to the Ovale Elips. I have a bit of experience withe the Ovale model. The cleartomizer fits too loosely on the Ovale battery. The "latching" that is used is far superior to the Ovale snug fit and I guess that required more lip diameter on the battery side.

Again, Ovale advertised that their system worked as a "bypass" and could be vaped while charging. The Greensound will as well (I tested it on an Ovale Elips charger) but will require a charger with a cord. These are available from our friends over there. You might want to check it out for yourself and maybe offer a corded version as an option. I find this very handy and keeps the battery fully charged at home so I know what I've got when I walk out the door.

I will be eviscerating one soon to have a look see.

More good news on the SOLE dannoman...

After vaping a VG Capicinno pretty steady on the Sole for a week it started to lose flavor (of course). The cleartomizer coil was pretty gunked up. I was able to get about 80-90 percent of the gunk removed with an ultrasonic bath. Immersed in about an inch of water, opening down for about 15 minutes on my pulsed 70 watt unit. It's drying out now and I will give you the results tomorrow when I refill it for a trial vape.

First fill after the ultrasonic cleaning and passive solar drying. I filled it to the top of the tube and let it set for over an hour to get the internal wick primed. The level dropped almost a quarter of an inch which I'm going to check on with a fresh one. Seemed a bit much. It's working but the vapor production is weak. I think there may be a lot of water trapped in the internal wick which is diluting the juice which is 100% VG. Vapor production is improving after a large number of hits so there is a trend. I'm not satisfied that I understand what is going on. I'm going to let it sit overnight and see if there is any improvement. It's not a big deal as replacements are four bucks but it would be nice to know if these can be restored in a pinch.

I'm pretty sure it was water but not much. The water must lower the vapor temperature or something. The fresh clearto I filled absorbed about the same amount of juice during priming, maybe a bit more. So I don't think there was much water in the wick of the reburbed clearto.

Anyway....sitting overnight let the juice get concentrated enough so that it is vaping very well this AM.

If you do decide to refurb and end up with some water be careful not to overheat the wick by chain puffing trying to displace the water. I got pretty close to a dry hit after about five forced puffs (no inhale). Left a very slight burnt taste for a while. I've inspected the coil and it is in good shape gunk-wise. It should be good to go for a week at my rate of usage.
