I am waiting for my first e-cig to arrive. After talking to wonderful veteran vapors that truly took time to listen and took into account my smoking style and situation I ended up ordering a Volt kit with the understanding I may well change systems once I am used to it all. I got 2 free flavors with the kit I ordered and then ordered another Clearomizer set up and 15 blank cartomizers for the other. I planned on ordering juices from other places and trying things out until I find my "sweet spot" as I see many of you refer to it.

Here's the thing . . . I really want to switch cold turkey to the e-cig if possible when it gets here. I just know the only times I really was at all successful quitting was when there were no cigs around. So if I order juices today I am concerned that . . . 1) I will have to wait to use them (I keep reading you have to let them steep after you fill your cartomizer) and 2) I may not have enough if I just order small samples (what if I find the one I really love and only have enough for a day or two?) So I'm wondering about ordering some juice with no flavor though I haven't found any in the first few places I've tried. Any advice/opinions on the no flavor? Is there a flavor to the no flavor and is it bad?

I did the same thing as you. Quite cold turkey with ecig.

My fave juice: RY4 from The Electronic Cigarette Super Store | myvaporstore.com ... its truely awesome. Its in the tobacco family. It starts as a sweet, caramel flavor and ends with a mild, vanilla flavor. You wont find a ejuice that tastes exactly the same as a cig because theres nothing burning ... But the ry4 IMO is a definite MUST TRY.

BTW: You shouldnt have to let them steep much if at all. Thats for DIY mixing at home. Leaving the top off the bottle for 24 hrs or so in a dark room should do it honestly.

eLiquid - RY4 < --- Theres the link for the RY4 so you dont order the wrong thing.
You may also like the Kamol they have. I vape it while drinking beer for that more harsh analog flavor :)

(That is Chinese made RY4 ... Us Americans for some reason dont know how to make ry4 ... Freedomsmokeusa's ry4 is American made and isnt sweet or good at all IMO. Totally different.)

There's no need to put any pressure on yourself. Vaping is a very personal program and there's no race. Some have quit immediately while others have taken awhile and it's all good. The key point is to enjoy the journey without any pressure. Find a vendor who delivers quickly. The larger companies are "usually" backed up with orders. Explain your problem to the vendor and they will take that into consideration when filling your order.

Only with certain juices because they're fresh- usually tobacco juices.
To accelerate steeping:
place bottle in hot tap water for 45 mins- place in cupboard.
Next morning open bottle and place back in cupboard
Next morning...vape
Good Luck.

Many juice vendors sell unflavored juice at all the usual nicotine levels. I went cold turkey just fine and I stayed with a basic menthol juice for the 1st 2 weeks (I smoked menthols for 35 years). An idea is to pick a flavor that is something else you already like in life - for me it was cherry coke. My first "non-cigarette" flavor was cherry coke and I still use it every day...

Steeping doesn't happen after you fill the cartomizer. Steeping happens when its in the bottle. Most juices are fine without any steeping and some are. I wouldnt worry about it and just start using it. You'll figure it out. I have vaped flavorless before and it is what you would expect (flavorless). I made my own. Its not bad and will take care of business but I won't go out of my way to vape it anytime soon. I have seen some vendors sell it ready to vape but I couldn't tell you where it was.

That's what I was thinking but was asking if anyone has tried it and was there anything I should be aware of. Also, have checked vapedudes, madvapes, e liquid, the vapor room, and a couple others and can't find unflavored juice yet.

Just to clarify. Yes it is fine to do at your normal nic level. There is nicotine base liquids you can buy in strengths of 48mg, 60mg, and even 100mg. These are purchase by people who DIY their own eliquids. These nicotine base liquids have to be cut down to a safer strength. I just want to make sure you don't go buy this and start vaping it straight from the bottle.

It tastes a little bit sweet. Email the vendor and they will make a batch for you. They'll be more than happy cuz they're saving $$ on the flavoring. Vendors are generally very helpful and will go out their way to please us. In 8 months and ordering thousands of $$ worth of stuff I've only had one problem and that was with a non ECF listed vendor. Eventually the issue was resolved.
Cheers.

You're welcome. If, down the road, you want to add flavor just ask and we can tell you what you need to order as adding flavor will dilute it a touch/ 10%. I DIY lottsa juice for myself and a group of people and it's really not that hard and very cheap. You could even dilute it with flavor and use it as a night time vape as some have sleeping problems.
Good Luck.

Thanks everybody! I think you've got me headed in the right direction. I figured I'd order a larger bottle of non-flavored ready to vape and then I at least have the nic fix handy for extreme cravings if it takes awhile to find a flavor I like and could always add flavor later.
