one of my attys will work fine on the pt but will not operate on a battery. Put another atty on the battery and it works on it so it;s not the batt. Tried different battery, just won't work on a battery.

Wondering if anyone had a possible theory why this is? Not aproblem for me, will just use it as a dedicated pt atty.

one thing I did notice it seems to glow a little slower than the atty when I dry burn. When I blow on the coil while dry burning only half of the coil lights from the cooling of the air.

Sounds like your atty is dying.

I think you will find the coil wire has developed a higher resistance which will only heat up when powered by a higher voltage/amperage PT. More than likely the coil wire has a break in it and the connection is being maintained by the wet gunk or carbon surrounding the wire. If you have an ohm meter that would be a quick way to check the health of the atty. A good atty will have a reading in the 1 to 3 ohms range.

Otherwise, enjoy what life is left in it.

Thanks. Was at work when I posted, home now and checked it out, showing 4 ohms.

Tell you wha, it's performing like a champ on the pt. Might dedicate it to one flavor also, lol
Curious to see how much life I can squeeze out of it. Also curious to see how much more abuse it can take.
Ah, fickle vaper syndrome.

Ah, fickle vaper syndrome.

4 ohms doesn't sound too bad although it maybe enough to keep it from heating up good especially if your batts are old.

I've had attys that ran on half a coil go for an extra week or two on a PT. The trick is to keep it wet so the coil doesn't dry out and cause the gunk/carbon to break whatever connection is remaining.
