another bottom feeder question

heres another question.... I thought I saw the answer out here but I just cant find it...not for a lack of searching.

to use a standard 510 connector in a bf device, I think I need to remove the center pin and replace it with a piece of tubing.

i was unable to locate stainless tubing and I only have 510 sealed connectors to deal with...so my options could be (I know some of these aare a no-no but am not sure which ones)

replace the center pin with:
1. alum tubing
2. brass tubing
3. copper tubing
or attempt to drill out the center pin to fit the tube used on a 16ga luer needle. (is this possible?)

Do notice it starts with a brass tube, but that gets changed out later due to health concerns.

Replacing the center pin is not so good as the seal with the grommet will be off, but the 16G needle plan should work great. A 1/16" hole is a good match for the 16G needle. You can also use an 18G needle and drill a 1.2mm hole.
