Ok, so I am sitting here today. I had something shipped Xpresspost from Manitoba yesterday morning. All good. I check Canada Post website this morning and it's down... oh well yesterday I saw item accepted, then processed... it's enroute

I just check the tracking now as the site is back up. Says on the truck and out for delivery this morning, and was delivered.... ummm no it wasn't. no card, no package. Guess I have to go stalk the townhouses across the street and go bang on #40 and ask for my envelope...

Pretty crazy that you'd get anything in one day :) I'd take Canada Post over pretty much everything else since you brought that up, damn couriers are much more of a pain. I'm never home in the say so I just go up to the post office outlet and pick whatever up. With couriers if you're not home in the day, sometimes you can't ever get your stuff.

Talk about funny. the neighbour across the street just brought my package and another envelope over... we were just talking about how this new postal girl sucks. she's been living there 3 yrs... well at least get to meet neighbours I wouldn't normally know..

woohoo I have lots of toys now. just tried a sample of ice cap too (sent me a free extra filled).

ok now I get what the cones are for on the cartos. I like that restricted draw.

They sure as hell are better than UPS, I've worked there, and out of the 2000 packages that go into a single trailer, only about 200 of them remain undamaged. The rest are thrown and stepped on and squished into place regardless of the contents inside. I can't even tell you the amount of times I saw an "explosive materials" package slide down the chute at light speed with half the packaging missing and dents all over it. YAY for minimum wage jobs >_<

ok. I just checked tracking on canada post like I have a thousand times before and they have a new little blurb I've never seen before (international delivery)

"Some items may be delayed if held by customs for additional inspection. Canada Post has no information on specific items awaiting customs inspection. Once an item clears customs, it is handed over to Canada Post for delivery. Delivery time depends on the product and the distance to its destination."

That is the blurb I saw when I was waiting for my stuff. It was one whole month before I got it from the day I ordered. It was inspected too, as my package had the dreaded yellow tape all over it to let me know they took a looksy! Funny, they didn't seize it.
