I buy only from TastyVapor, PureSmoker, and Vaporkings..... I would bet my life these guys aren't the blame, they are great. But that is some scary stuff.

Stick to the suppliers you know!! Hope you are going to get any lost money back and sorry for all the hassle this is going to cause you.

Just a thought, paypal has been calling this business something other then acceptable obviously, I would imagine that this could be the same with cc companies.

Just a thought, not sure if that is true, but it could explain messes without being fraud.

At the same time I urge you to check your statements, identity theft and all this online fraud has just been very prevalent.

It could be anything. I think none of the vendors here would do anything wrong nor us as the card holders but email, chats, webpages etc could cause the problem.

I had my Amex replaced a week ago becase I was charged by "powered marketing" in Florida twice in less than 3 days. Amex is great and told me at the second charge, the card was cancelled ang got the replacement in a day.

My PC is more than clean and I do have different securities activated... but maybe the communication with the bank was compromised, or scammer simply used random numbers and my card was hit.

The important part is to know who you are doing business with and always verify statements

I sure wouldn't bet your life on it... IF these are directly or indirectly coming from doing business with one of the suppliers then:

It is very unlikely that the supplier themselves are involved or even aware of it.

1) Their site could have been hacked and they don't know it. If they are doing their own billing then the information could have been compromised and they might not know it happened.
2) Their website could have been hacked and something is being installed on your computer which is then compromising the data at the source.
3) If they are using a 3rd party billing service then the service could have been hacked and they might not know it.
4) If it's some small 3rd party billing service then the service might have been hacked and they did discover it and fix it but they aren't likely to disclose that.
5) If your card information gets stolen, where fraudulent charges are made doesn't really indicate anything as to where the information was originally stolen from or the location of the person using it. It's kind of like the parts of your stolen car ending up in Mexico 2 days later. Hackers sell cards to other people who move them and re-sell them to someone else who uses them. It's not so much the case that someone grabs your card and buys something with it themself.

I'm sure it's not from my ISP or my computer. I use 4 cards on-line - one of them was use exclusively for vapping products and only that one was compromised.
Also, my Mac is pretty secured - I'm 100% sure problem is from one of the liquids suppliers ...I have an idea which one ...but not sure ..
Anyway, my bank has all the details and are following it up ..

ok, it was just another possibility I was putting out there. I was the technical ops mgr for an ISP in phoenix, and dealt with a lot of hackers and comprimises. and it doesn't have to be YOUR isp.. it could be one of many. there are a LOT of routers between you and anywhere else. oh well.. that was just my $.02 and in todays economy, that's worth about nothing.

I used to play around with a lot of key loggers when I was younger.. there is many out there that no anti virus will pick up.. the one I used lasted 3 months before any antivirus picked it up. but by then it was too late because the virus had a auto updater built in so before they got detected all that I had to do was upload the updated version to a download point for the virus to install..

The way I do biz on line. Go to any drug store, walmart etc. Get a disposable CC. You pay a 10 dollar fee. I only put what Im gonna spend on it plus a dollar to keep it active. Then when I wanna make a purchase I put money on it again. AND no impulse buying that way, another BIG plus. Especially with this new obsession I have,LOL

The OP might not like this, but I'll add V4L to the Not-At-Fault list. Been ordering from them since March, exclusively, and no problems or suspicious activity. My B of A account sends me weekly records, and shuts my number down if something odd is in the works. Do you have windows running your browser? Look into windows defender if you do. It is free, and it logs all changes and communication made by your comp. If you have a logging virus, that software will tell you when, and with whom it is chatting, and if you have the settings right, it won't let your comp trade info without YOU telling it to.

windows ? what's that ? :p
I'm on mac, I wouldn't run windows if you pay me to ....:p

Well if your on a mac that pretty well negates most comp. issues. In any event, I hope you figure it out and recover any losses. I'm stuck with windows because my wife has claimed the mac we've got as her own. As a result, I've got all the 'real-time' scanning that works running on mine, and man does it slow things down...

Not anymore. Mac and Linux virus's have been on the rise for awhile.

from TechRepublic -

Meanwhile, Mac users shouldn’t get complacent either. Intego has reported two in-the-wild outbreaks of a Trojan horse program found on game sites and a gruesome piece of spyware that tags along with screen savers and other freebie apps. (And Intego says they found copies of the unwanted software even after the original distributor claimed to have removed it.)

Besides, now-a-days a mac is just a refrigerator white pc running BSD with a mac shell.
