I've been hearing about e-cigs and also wanting to cut back on or quit analogs for a while. I heard an ad on the radio for Smartsmoker and when I googled it I found this forum. I found out that the Smartsmoker wasn't the best deal.

Last Sunday after reading many threads and looking at various supplier sites, I placed an order with myPVshop.com for an RN7042 penstyle starter kit (1 atomizer, 2 batteries, an ac charger, 5 prefilled 24 mg cartridges) and I added in a carrying case and some more prefilled cartridges at the 12, 18 and 24 mg levels. Using the 10% coupon code I found on this forum and getting free shipping, my order came to just over $50.

I received the package on Wednesday (fast!) and got the batteries all charged up that evening. I tried a few puffs and liked it! On Thursday (Thanksgiving) I used the e-cig and smoked analogs too. I usually smoke 30+ analogs a day but I only smoked 15 on Thursday without even noticing it. Today I have smoked 5 analogs and it's after 8 PM. I used to smoke 5 by 8 AM!

I had Thanksgiving dinner with some on again, off again smokers and they all tried it and were very interested.

I made another order today from myPVshop to get 5 atomizers, 5 batteries, usb and car chargers and a pass through plus six 5 ml liquid samples. Total, just under $120, again using the 10% off coupon and free shipping.

I am very excited and intrigued by this and amazed at how effortless the transition from analogs seems to be.

Thanks to all of you who have done this before and posted your experiences and knowledge, it has made this all so much easier.

Hi Vejjy and Welcome to the forum !!

I too am a very happy repeat customer of myPVshop.com Always excellent customer service and very FAST shipping. Their 10% discount code is IVape10 (should anyone be interested).

And like you, I started with the Penstyle. I spent the 1st 2 weeks vaping and smoking simultaneously. And after two weeks, I put the cigarettes down and cannot imagine ever going back.

Were it not for all the information and support on this forum, (and Randall @ myPVshop.com) I would not be able to proudly say I am smoke free.

And it will not be long before you too will be able to say the same.

Congratulations !!

But seriously, i smoked for 30 + years and never thought i would stop. the first moment i received my 801 pen, i never picked up another real smoke again. That has now been 64 days. Small feat to some, but for me... unreal..
So good luck and Vape on...

By no means is that a small feat to me, that's a success story.

Kudos to anyone who can stop smoking analogs completely!

Wow... really amazing how the stories and results are so simialr.

The first part of that story sounds just like mine. And well the last part too. I have spent alot of money on this new habit/hobby but I feel it was all money well spent.

Going on a month and a half now and Im not looking back.

Wait till you've been quit awhile and find out how much smokers smell. Heh heh, you'll think the same thing we all did...."Dam, did I smell that bad?" (answer to that is "yes")

Congrats on how far you've come. If you like it now - Im sure you will quit analogs altogether soon.

That's the way to do it Vejjy! Congrats.

The penstyles are terrific. It was my first PV, and I'm still using them daily today. If you need some info. on them (what is compatible, tips and tricks) you can start here
DSE 801 *Penstyle* - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Compatible atomizers which will all work with your RN4072 (which is a low bridge atomizer) are the DSE801 (high bridge), 302 (low bridge) and BE112 (low bridge).

The straw modification (a coffee stir straw cut at an angle and inserted into the cart) will really help with distributing the liquid from the large cart and help to bring refilling liquid into the bottom of the cart (by helping to displace air in the bottom of the cart).

Welcome to the forum Vejjy. I don't really know much about the RN7042 penstyle (i'm a 510 kinda gal). But I too was a 30+ a day analog smoker. It took me about 2 weeks to go "analog free" (but I did reduce drastically to about 8-9 per day after a day or two). After about 12 days was only smoking 2-4 analogs. Just went analog free! Going on 30 hours. Don't force it. It will happen naturally. E-cigs are sooo much better than analog-no stinky clothes, can vape in the car, house, etc. No standing outside in the cold/wet/rain/snow to get your nicotine. And if you have a non-smoking spouse/sig other they WILL notice that you don't taste like an ashtray!
Order lots of different flavors. The "right" one will really make kicking the analogs easy.

Welcome to the forum. As you can see in my signature, I was a major chain smoker for 41 years. It gets easier each day to forget about analogs. I still have more than a carton of analogs sitting around just in case, but have been able to avoid them for over 6 months now. I'm finally at a point where I don't even want to know what an analog would taste like.
