Hello Everyone,

I found this great forum after I had already ordered a smoke51 starter kit and some 8mg cartrige packs.
After reading several posts in this forum I am wondering if I overpaid, even with the 30% off coupon code I used. Should I have purchased LoongTotem at the lower price? I smoke about a pack of Marlboros ever 25 - 26 hours and am hoping to dump analogs completely. Due to vision issues I need an easy to use product with prefilled cartridges.

Would love to hear some input on smoke51 and other products with prefilled cartridges.

Thanks
Mike

Right now the disposable atomizer technology is new. There are many vendors and each one is claiming to be different, but in reality the differences are minor.

I would say a LT compatible is a safe bet and even though the price you paid may have been high, you will be able to reorder carts from LT or other LT compatible dealers for less money.

smoke 51 is a waste of money. It was the first ecig I ever bought. Besides being over priced they are porely made. The batts failed one after another. I got tired of going back to the mall to get a replacement. The biggest down side to them is actually the disposable carte. The only way to know they are empty is by the burnt taste I took an old fart apart and the filter material was really burnt. Realizing that I was inhaling that stuff I stopped using it right there. I got me a 901 did qlot of reading on this forum and realized I got suckered. As will you. Consider it a lesson and get a real ecig. You can buy ore filled carte but juice and doing it urself a much cheaper.

it's not a bad product really , mine was rad while i had it , re filling the carts is pretty easy and can be done multiple times on the same cart , i liked having a menthol and a clove cart to switch back and forth from during the day. Try all you want , but switching from menthol to clove with the same 901 or 801 atomizer is nearly impossible , no matter what it will taste like menthol. i did had 3 batteries fail in the first few weeks , 2 were replaced by smoke51 and the 3rd was supposed to be.... but i never received any e-mails back... this was in February... so i gave up on that company pretty quick

I think, with mention of your vision problems, that you made an appropriet purchase. More so, if your vision is so that you can't see enough to use liquids to refill.

Smoke51 had a run of bad luck with their batteries and dry carts up until late. But the new release batteries have been quite reliable, and the new release carts in the sealed foil packs are great and not dried out direct from the supplier as they were before.

Sure, they are fairly expensive in comparison to other devices of other designs, but in the end they produce a good vapor, and the batts are warrantied for ONE YEAR !! which is why your paying more for them.

Now, if they could just catch up with customer service staffing to meet the demand of late, they would be back at having satisfied customers again.

Hope you enjoy your purchase, and be sure to pipe back on with your personal findings.

Thanks all for your input positive and negative. Being legall blind I just dont feel comfortable enough with what little vision I have left to handle liquid nicotine and fill my own carts. As for the cost of the prefilled carts, if each equals 1 1/2 - 2 packs of analogs the $2 each including shippinig will be just fine compared to the $7.68/pack I have been paying.

UPS just dropped off the package...going to charge them up. Will report on my experience. :) :) :)

Good luck with your new batch.......

However, I must contend that there is no way what so ever that their (or anyone elses) claims are true when it comes to cart life usage.

Realistically, you are looking more to about 7-10 cigarette equivalent. That is, if you take the average analog cigarette use of approximately 15 puffs to complete, so on a pack containing 20 cigarettes it would equal to about 300 puffs.

I haven't done a puff count with the new very wet carts from 51 as I have many different devices now that I alternate through, but I'm pretty sure the equivalent will not be met regardless.

At the same time, I'll comment that I don't use the device as I use to use an analog cig (I don't, at one sitting, take 15 puffs), as I'm usually nicotine satisfied with much less puffs on the ecig. So, maybe with that in mind you could consider "that" the equivalent.

These are "my own" findings and opinions in this regard, and of course....... no two people think a-like on ANY matters regarding e-cigs or anything else for that matter.

You'll have to find your own "happy zone" or "personal satisfaction" that works for YOU.

I hope my insights and/or experiences allows you an open minded perspective to do so.

Greg

The thought of filling my own carts, modding carts, atty's and such apeals to my general nature. Even with my low vision I can't help but modify a cell phone's software as soon as I get my hands on it, or tinker with car engines to improve performance and fuel economy. I guess my big worry is making a mess with a potentially dangersous liquid. Though making my own nic level's and flavors does peak my interest.

So I guess the next logical questions would be...
1. Is there an easy no mess cart filling method?
2. Do I have to worry about cart's leaking if I fill them myself?
3. Can I refill Smoke51 cart's?
4. Whats the difference between dripping and refilling?
5. What is cig is the best ballance between price and quality?
6. Who has the best juice and flavors?
7. What questions am I forgeting to ask due to lack of knowledge about these products?

I would also like to apologize in advance for asking any questions that might be easily found in other sections. Reading forums via enlarged text and text to speach readers can sometimes be quite tedious and extremely time consuming.

Mike :)

1. Is there an easy no mess cart filling method?

Yes, just pull up the top rubber stopper with tweezers and drip into the cartridge. Be careful, and try not to drip into the hole. You'll see when you pop one open....

2. Do I have to worry about cart's leaking if I fill them myself?

Nope. Just don't overfill or you will get a mouthful of nasty liquid, especially if your battery is weak.

3. Can I refill Smoke51 cart's?
Yes.

4. Whats the difference between dripping and refilling?

I don't recommend too much dripping on the atomizer unless I'm priming a newly cleaned one. I prefer to refill the cartridge itself.

5. What is cig is the best ballance between price and quality?
That's a matter of personal opinion.

6. Who has the best juice and flavors?

My favorite is e-smokeytreats Red Bull flavor. Nice kick and fruity.

7. What questions am I forgeting to ask due to lack of knowledge about these products?

Although the cartridge is refillable, it does have a tendency to "burn" a bit inside if you let it get dry, and those cartridges need to be thrown out, unlike the seperate atomizer models, where the cartridge can be refilled with new "stuffing".

My best buy was a usb passthrough for my LTv9 from Bloog. It's a new product, and it's lessened the stress of messing with a ton of batteries and recharging constantly.

I have great experience with the model you've purchased. I think it has great vapor and it was my first purchase. I also use an Mseries. Since getting my usb passthrough for your model, I'm using it more often again.
