My carto will not fit in this tank!!!! ...cuss..cuss..worse cuss...don't tell my mom I said that, cuss...
My buddy use to work on my boat with me. He would be trying to get a bolt off and say, "JR, you put the extra firm on this one didn't you, ..cuss...cuss."
So I decided to force this carto in the tank. When it came out the other end, part of the O-ring came with it. The edge of the carto on the battery end was so sharp that is cut part of the O-ring off. It cut it off so cleanly that when I was finished it didn't even leak.
I mean these corners are sharp. I guess that makes the fit nice when you are using one on a little 510 battery, but it is not necessary when you are using it on a mod in a tank.
So the next time I was going to put a carto in a tank I thought I would try to make it a little easier. I was successful. I got out a metal fingernail file and fairly lightly at about a 45 degree angle, took the edge off the corner of the carto on the battery end. Put the edge of the nail file right below the threading and the file side on the sharp corner and went around the carto. Just enough to take the sharpness off of it. (you don't need to over do it)
It now went into the carto with no trouble at all. That part of the carto is not in contact with the O-ring when it is in place, so there was no issue like making it leak or anything. Worked perfect. Now it isn't a pain in the .... to change a carto in the tank.
