Another neat thing about vaping (besides the obvious ones)

Good stuff in all these posts!

Someone mentioned tasting candy/desserts without the calories... no one mentioned losing weight...?
I haven't stepped on a scale in a while, but I know before I started vaping I had alot more sweets and snacked all day.. Now I eat 4 small-medium sized meals a day.. everyone says how much thinner/healthier I look. I feel it too - and my close are starting to fit better again! lol

I know we all love that we can breath better, and we all love not smelling like cigarette smoke.

Here is something that just occurred to me today that is a good thing about vaping vs. cigarettes:

I'm at home all day, and used to leave a cigarette burning in the ashtray frequently while I went to check something on the stove, get something in another room, find the phone, etc. etc.

Sometimes I got distracted, and lost track of which room I left the cigarette in, and if I didn't find it there was that terrible nagging feeling "did I leave a cigarette burning somewhere?"

NO MORE! My cute little ego just sits innocently, quietly and harmlessly until I come and pick it up again.:)

agreed. i was more worried about losing my tobacco to second-hand smoke AKA wasting money, rather than the fire hazard aspect but hey vaping solves both!

i will add that i frequently didnt like "committing" to an entire cigarette when i smoked. of course i always smoked the whole thing as to not waste it, but a lot of the time, i was satisfied after only half a cig. never wanted to put it out, but sometimes did and i HATED re-lighting an extinguished cig. we all know it was terrible. but with vaping, we take as many drags as we want and our precious liquid just waits for us to return instead of volunteering itself to be part of the atmosphere like smoke did :)

How about people bumming cigs from you all the time? Anybody miss that?

i actually had a guy try to bum a smoke off of me while i was outside vaping one day. he said "hey man, can i get one of those?" i said im not smoking. he was confused becuase he saw the vapor. then i showed him my PV and he looked at me like he still didnt believe i wasnt smoking. it was almost as if he was thinking "cool toy. now can i have a smoke?" he just didnt want to believe i had zero cigarettes.

Not having to use a toaster to light up. Although, I do miss having a bic lighter in my pocket to pop open a beer when at a buddy's house.

thats what i always used. but when you think about it, anything remotely shaped like a lighter or even just a hard flat edge works. ive used belt buckles, picnic table edges, chapstick, other bottles, key rings, key chains, the handle of silverware/tools, body of a pocket knife, you get the idea and im sure youve used other items too.

one thing i would NOT recommend is the cheap non-Bic plastic lighters. way too flimsy and prone to disaster.

yup. i will agree with that. the flavors combined with the nicotine = total weight loss plan (that actually works!) :)
i had to up my nicotine intake when i quit smokes. it was the only thing that actually allowed me to no longer crave smoke. as a result, the added nicotine increases my metabolism sometimes to the point where i will eat a fraction of what i used to eat. of course i used quitting smoking as a springboard to improve other areas of life, so i had it in my mind i wanted to eat better.
so long story short it was a dual vision and thus a dual effect.

I can fall asleep with my PV and not burn the house down :D

I heard about someone that fell asleep with an unregulated device, rolled over on the button and it fired until all the juice was used up and then the coil got really hot and burned his leg. No actual fire, but it could have been if it wasn't in contact with his skin...like say under his pillow. I do not know how true that is but it sounds plausible.
