Hi Everyone. I'm yet another new guy to e cigs and the e cig forum. I recently purchased my first e-sig, One of the local smoke shops here carries the smokeless delite, and although I'm nowhere near being even remotely close to happy with it, it's sparked my interest some.

I'm what some might term a heavy smoker, I smoke an average of 2-4 packs a day (depending on what I'm doing) lights. I do not seem to be bothered by too much nicotine, as I've smoked a pack in less than an hour at the casino with no strange effects, and because some people wanted to see if I would I've smoked 5 cigs at one time and felt no difference.

I know that I have a pretty severe addiction to nicotine as way back in 05 a stupid night and some drunk driving landed me in jail for a day. During that time I was shaking, sweating, headache, stomach cramps, fatigued, just absolutely horrible. Anyway, I'm trying to give some background info to help with the questions. On to them.

Based on what I have been reading here, I'm thinking I may be fairly happy with the 510, maybe some 36 (or should I go higher?) mg juice, and a usb passthrough. I'm guessing you order blank carts if you get the juice to drip?

I'm not wanting to replace smoking entirely, as dripping or dipping or anything else I have read about seems like a lot of work, but it's something that doesn't seem to be so bad sitting around at the computer or something, so I'm thinking about supplementing my cigarettes with vaping, not replacing them.

Does it sound like the joye510 and usb passthrough would suit me? Any tips or suggestions or am I on the right track here?

Nicotine levels of ejuice will vary. I have a friend that was a 5pack/day smoker of Marlboro lights. Lit one off the last - true chain smoker. Got him some 11-16mg juice - thought he wanted more - went to 24mg and he OD'd on that (flush reaction, hiccups etc. - ie. just 'too much' ) and he's at 18mg now and smoke free since first week July. He uses about 35ml of juice a week. Chain vaper. He loves his 510 with the mega batts. Also has two Janty Sticks that he likes as well.

AND Welcome to the Forum!!

Not to be a party wrecker, but I want to call out of some of the 510 recommendations on this forum. On the advice of many here, I bought a 510 kit with 2 batteries, and 2 extra atomizers, and let me tell you, it was a dissappointment. Unless you dont mind batteries that last two hours, atomizers that don't last through a 2 week period, the fact that you need to carry four cartridges with you to last you through the day, and constantly refilling/dripping, then the 510 is a great e-cig. It's unfortunate, however, that the Vapor 4 Life/nHaler Vapor King/KR808D-1 owners didn't really grace the other parts of this forum with their presence and enlightened some of the disillusioned 510 users like myself, because I would have purchased a Vapor King/KR model instead of a 510 for my first model, but that's just my .02 cents.

Carry on.

I always come in and recommend a KR808D-1 model to knew vapers, to me it's just a lot more simple to use and get used to. I know the 510/901 doesn't HAVE to be dripped on and what not but it's just a bit more hassle compared to the 2 piece models.
To me a 510/901 is a tinkerers e-cig or a step up from the KR808D-1 for those who want to drip and mess with their e-cig.
For a simple, screw on and vape, no mess or fuss, go for the KR808D-1 :)

I would agree..

Then after you discover that there is a learning curve go up to a mod at 5v like the GLV from greatlakesvapor or the CHUCK for a super experience.. :)

Thanks for the replies everyone. It sounds like I might have to look into the KR808D-1 as well. For now since I'm mostly looking at something for sitting around at the computer or whatnot, and I plan on getting a usb passthrough, I think I will order a 510 and continue to look into the KR808D-1 as well. Sounds like both might be a good combo.

Whatever you get, make sure to get at least 3 batts. These tiny batts they come with really suck, especially the 510. And you might want to think about trying a manual batt because you'll be able to take a very long drag, if that's how you prefer. All auto batts have a cut off that is usually too short.

Enjoy and good luck. Hopefully at the very least it'll cut your analogs down some.

The cartomizers have some maintenance also, sometimes you have to fill them because the juice can dry up in them during transport I hear. I only have experience with the 510 and 901 and npro models. The 510 deff has to be tinkered with, but when you find what works for you its pretty good. If you get a 510 for sure buy the charger case, I vaped for close to 5 months before I got one. Its nice to go on a trip not tethered to a charger hehe.

I took the plunge and ordered some stuff to start with, hoping that I will have a better experience than with my current "smokeless delite". I ended up getting the Joye510, 5 atomizers, the pcc case, usb passthrough, 4 batts, 6 carts and 50ml of liquid. I'm hoping that will be enough to get me started, lol.
