Hi ECF,

I signed up a while ago and have been learning loads from all of you, so I think it's time I started giving back a little. I've been vaping on and off for nearly 6 months, but 3 weeks ago today I finished a pack of analogues and just decided not to bother with them any more. So I've been 3 weeks clear and free so far.

Mostly it has been incredibly easy thanks to vaping. I still sometimes find myself reaching for an analogue before I remember that I don't smoke any more, and sometime I almost ask for a pack in the shop out of habit :) but so far so good.

I started with dual coil cartos on an eGo battery, but could always taste the filler, so I've since tried the F1 eGo-W (which was ok but not great), and am currently using Biansi's iMist which I really really love, but have a few other devices on the way to try out too, I'm saving a fortune on analogues, and then spending it all on vaping gear, but that's good enough for now :)

Hi Stevenmu and welcome to the community. Good luck on your future without analogs also. Just try and keep in mind that what works for someone else doesn't always work for you and that will keep the frustration some of us go through to a minimum. This world of ecigs makes me feel like a small child in a candy shop sometimes and I find myself overwhelmed at times of all the choices we have to choose from. To me that is a plus from when I was doing the analog thing..... Not to mention the difference in how I feel today as opposed to a year ago....

You might like a Boge LR 2.0 single coil carto better on the Egos. Egos are only 3.4 volts.
Thanks dearme, I was using smoketechs LR DCCs, which I believe are about 1.5 ohm so should be ok on an eGo battery. I got plenty of vapour, my really issues were a taste of filler (which may just be in my head :)), and I always tended to overfill them, much easier to esee the true level with a tank type system. I've heard great things about the Boges though, they seem to be a step above other cartos, I must try them out.

I am not sure I had the same problem as you but to me any carto I use just completely mutes the taste of my juices. I seem to try a lot of things but always wind up going back to dripping as the taste is one of the most important things that keeps me off analogs. The only time I think of picking one up is when I put a carto on my set up....

Hello & welcome Steve :)

Out of interest, are you finding it easy to buy supplies in Ireland or are you buying from the UK?

Hi Chrissie,

It's mostly pretty easy to get supplies here, there's a couple of good online vendors which do next day delivery, and some allow collection too. A few newsagent chains are starting to carry disposables too.

The range available isn't fantastic though, especially for newer devices, so some of us are ordering stuff from the UK too (I ordered some dual coil 510 atties for dripping and an eGo stardust from two UK suppliers over the weekend).

As the market here grows though, the shops based here seem to be expanding more and more.

I did definitely find that with fruity flavours. I'm mostly using menthol flavours so that always seems to come through ok, other strong flavours (caramel, coffee etc) work ok in cartos for me too, but no matter what I used I always thought I could taste the filler. I have some atties for dripping on the way so I'm looking forward to trying the fruity flavours properly.

If there is anything I've learned over the past 20 months its this, POWER MATTERS. Started on a ego-t setup and found myself always wanting more. After experimenting with LR and single and dual coil carto, I finally got myself a ProVari and my whole life changed! High power and standard resistance will beat standard power and low resistance anyway of the week.
