I know everyone gets flooded with which 1 is right for me...so here is another.
I have been smoking camel filters for about 15years. I like the slight burn from them as well as the taste and smoke. I have done alot of research (reading about all the models and watching 1000s of videos on youtube) and seems most people are happy with the "510" so im thinking of trying that 1... guess my main ? is does it matter who makes it (titan, joye, vape king....)

If you have the time to respond many thanks

I personally went with Vapor4Life's XL auto battery, and I love the choice I made. It's only a two-piece, where you don't have to worry about an atty. I smoked strong cigs, too, usually some sort of Camels (first cigs were djarum blacks), and I use their 36mg cartomizers. There are a lot of flavors, and they give a nice throat hit (that burn).

I would still recommend the Vapor King. I get a nice burn on my throat from it, and it FEELS like a cigarette. I smoked Marlboro Light 100s for 27+ years at a pack a day. I have not taken one drag off of a cigarette since I bought my ecig. I don't miss them at all. I stopped smoking for awhile on Chantrix, but as soon as I got off of it, I started again. I always missed the act of smoking. Now I have it all! I feel like I'm smoking, don't miss the cigarettes at all. I am not "nuts" from missing the act of smoking or the nicotine. I highly recommend V4L. SMILIN gets you 10% off your order in the coupon code. Best of luck on your adventure. I hope you find it as easy to quit as I did!

The Vapor4life VaporKing (a KR808D-1 2-piece) is pretty solid IMO. Their XL battery is quite decent -- makes for about a 120 mm length vs. about 100 using the standard battery, but lasts a good chunk longer.

If you go with the standard length batteries, a kit with PCC works well. It's a small clamshell case that holds a second battery, two extra cartos, and has a built-in battery that can recharge the regular batts several times before the PCC needs its own recharge. (It can recharge XL batts too, just that the case has to be left open due to their longer length).

NHaler also sells good KR808D-1 products.

I smoked PAD camel straights 25 years, then Marlboro reds and camel regulars for 10. 24 mg strength works well for me. The V4L Kamel 24 mg Nobacco is pretty good, a bit of that Turkish flavor and good hit. Their Dunhall is similar -- a strong flavor.

Check out the NHaler and V4l areas in the Suppliers forum area for any specials -- V4L frequently offers higher % discounts. NHaler's 10% off is saveinnj.

Good luck!

RP3, Check out Smokesation. Their regular is the closest thing to Marlboro 100s I've seen. Nice throat hit. Here in charlotte. It's a newer company but the guys that own it had tried several other products before coming up with their product. It's not just a "me too" thing. They have the 530 with a good battery life. I LOVE IT!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!

The original 510 was made by Joye. All the others are knockoffs. Many of the imitators work fine but they shouldn't be MORE expensive than the original. You can get a starter kit (2 batteries, 2 atomizers, charger & some pre-filled carts) for $35 + shipping. If someone is charging much more or trying to get you to sign up for regular shipments of pre-filled carts, do not buy from them.

BW, Jaunty & DSE are major e-cigarette manufacturers. Their quality control should be similar to Joye's. Yeti is just altsmoke's name for their 510. Other places have named theirs as well (Totally Wicked = Titan, etc.)

There are a lot of good things about the 510 including how adaptable it is. The bad thing is the battery life. If you are one of those people who will vape for 15 minutes after meals and that's all, you won't mind. If you live in the real world, consider something with a longer-life battery.

Fortunately, you can get a 510 with a much better battery. It's called an eGo. I went straight from the standard batteries to a battery mod (I love my Little Chuck) so others would have to advise you about the eGo.

Adaptablility - in addition to the variety of ways to power a 510, you can use it with carts. The filler material isn't perfect and you will find yourself looking at cart mods on the forum (I liked the straw mod and HighPing's one.)

You can drip in a 510. No filler needed -- just add liquid directly onto your atomizer and vape. I like this for some of my liquids. You have to add liquid more often than with a cart, but there's no waste and its very easy.

You can get cartomizers for your 510. They are like the cartomizers for the V4L or the KR808 except larger. They hold almost 1 ml of liquid. If you get the ones with the soft, removable end pieces and replace it with a drip tip, refilling the cartomizer is very easy as well. I love the cartos for the 510.

Whatever you decide to start with, welcome to vaping.

I have an eGo and also have a KR808D-1. I love them both but tend to use my KR808 90% of the time because I like the ease of using a 2-piece system that more closely resembles a real cigarette in size.

I would like to say that there is a difference between the automatic and the manual .. the manual button is much better IMHO, than an automatic. At first I had an automatic on my KR808 and I thought I would die having to drag so hard on it, so then I ordered some manual batteries for it and voila my problem was solved .. works fantastic and I barely have to draw on it at all.

Hey stashbldr, I use a Riva (same thing as eGo) with an adapter and kr808 cartos and I love it. Best of both worlds. Link to adapter. 510 to 901/808-D Adapter

Hi Mist .. I did buy an eGo adapter and UGH .. I could suck my insides out trying to get it to vape right. I tried every trick in the world, tried loosening it this way, that way, a little turn, a medium size turn .. still was terrible on the airflow. Getting the adapter had been my first thought, before I even thought of buying the KR808, because I LOVE the eGo's battery, the button, the whole setup.

Lately I've been thinking I will sell all of the tons of eGo stuff I bought because I do like the KR808 cartos, I fill them myself, using either the condom method or a syringe, they hold a lot .. they dont vape as well as my eGo does but they are C-U-T-E :p
