Another newbie. What to expect?

Wow.

I had never even heard of an e-cigarette until yesterday. I did a tiny amount of research and ended up finding this great forum and placed an order for my first e-cig through esmokers (I think?) at midnight last night.

I honestly don't have a clue what I'm doing. I don't know if I bought the right things. All of this e-cig lingo is confusing me but I do know that I would give my right arm to get away from sucking on traditional cigs.

All I ordered is 1 e-cigarette (I think it was called a 901 or something?), which comes with a few of those cartridges, and a small bottle of some liquid in an apple flavor.

If I smoke a pack a day of regular cigs how long can I expect this new stuff to last? Should I place another order? What to buy?

Well you wasted no time at all, that's forsure! Found out about them yesterday and already ordered one! If you ordered 1 ecig and bottle of juice (not sure what size) You can probably expect to last 1 day per ml of liquid purchased. So, lets say you ordered a 10ml bottle of liquid, you can expect to last about 5-6 days depending how how much your entirely esmoke. I only esmoke and go through an average of 2ml daily. If you don't make the switch completely to ecigs right off the bat, than I have no clue

Just depends on your smoking habit ... Most people find themselves esmoking much more than they did with traditional analogue cigs, so my advice is to just take it 1 day at a time ...

Hi Kissysmom - You smoke exactly what I smoked when I started with my e-cig so I think I can help you out. A 10ml bottle generally lasts me about 5 days, maybe longer when I'm not puffing so often. I bought from Puresmoker as well and you couldn't have picked a better supplier. Excellent service!

As long as you don't expect it to taste like cigs then you'll like it. Some people hate the regular carts that come with the e-cig, I personally didn't mind it at all. It's a matter of taste I guess. I don't know what flavor you purchased but I haven't found anything from Puresmoker that I didn't like yet aside from the lemon. And I have a stash of about half of the flavors he has available...lol. The 901 is an excellent choice for a starter e-cig and is perfect for carrying around. At some point you may also want to get a penstyle. Once you're more comfortable with the e-cig the penstyle won't seem so odd for you and you'll find that it has a bit better throat hit (especially when dripping) and the carts and batteries last a bit longer. Welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of e-cigs!

To be honest, oddly enough, I like it better than smoking. From time to time I get this urge and think I just have to have a real cig but when I light up it tastes terrible and I always put it out and go right for my e-cig to try and get the nasty taste out of my mouth.

It's truly fantastic! And I've saved a ton of money on purfume because I don't use so much!...lol. It's also nice to not have nasty yellow teeth and to be able to breathe! One bit of advice. I know you already ordered but it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and order another atomizer. Sometimes they have issues and if you get a dud it could only last a day or two so it's always a good idea to have one for a backup in case you have to wait for a replacement. Also makes it easier when it does go out on you to have one on hand and not have to remember to order one later. Best of luck and I'll keep my fingers crossed that it happens for you as it has for so many of us here!

you can expect to love the vaping. and barely miss your real cigs at all. you can also expec that youll learn tons in this place . you can also expect great service from steve at pursmoker and shawn at litecig. both those guys rock. its a learning curve and a bit more expensive to start out with but when i had an atomiser die it was good to learn what i could have done wrong and that supplies were only a few days away... happy vaping...

I think there i another thread that addresses this...what I don't miss...something like that. welcome and enjoy. try and read the threads there is some real important info. Like: initial charging of batteries, not vaping a cart too long...get the feel when the vap starts to die down. not letting the cart fiber get dry and stick to your atomizer...don't try and light your ecig with a lighter, don't throw your ecig out the window or on the ground...lol....enjoy. I like this soooooo much better than that stinky nasty burning tabacco.
