Hi everyone, yep newbie here but been smoking regular cigs for bout 30 years.
One of the guys at work came in with an E cig on Friday and that got my attention. Done some research on the E-Cig thing and found this place.
I am a member of another forum that uses pretty the much the same format as this so that made it easy to navigate :D.

I haven't browsed too many posts yet and have lots of questions which i'm guessing i'll find answers for once i start browsing.

If i don't find my answers i'll be sure to come back and ask. If i do find them i'll still came back and chat a while :D

Thanks for the replies ..... ZI'm trying not to spend too much time on here browsing threads while at work but not doing so well so far :D.

I know i am going to try this, just need to figure out which one to try and where to buy from.

The other forum i use on a regular basis is a bbq forum. There is a wealth of knowledge on there and the people are very freindly and really want to help. i have a feeling already that this forum is the same way.

Loooking hard at the mini DSE901 starter kit from puresmoke.com The price is managable. They look to have a good range of extras and suppies. Also i have seen their name mentioned favorably on this site quite a few times. Still won't be able to order till payday (this friday) so still have time to research more.

All and any comments are invited. !!!

Your First e-cig should be one that you can work with and not have to pay too much initial invetsment for (in case you break it)

I got my First E-cig from Steve @ PureSmoker.com - Your #1 Source For ECigs, Parts, & Accessories! it was the generic Penstyle black or as people call it on here the RN 4072 or just the penstyle. It works very well for me being a 2 packs a day converter. The battery for me Last about 6-8 hours a day depending how much I use it. If you smoke less than that and would like something smaller to carry around I would go with the DSE901 or the Mini. It's another good one and you can find both of these pretty much anywhere online. I would stay away from anything smaller than the mini. It's really for show I think.

Just make sure you get an extra battery so 3 total, get an extra atomizer or 2 total, and at least one bottle of juice to fill up the cartridge after they are done.

Well if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.;)

Thanks for the advice. I work in an office all day so i'm thinking a usb charger could be a good investment too.

Very keen to get started just have to be patient for now. I will definitely be ordering some juice and a refill syringe since i'm guessing that you just refil your existing carts rather than buying new ones. I'm guessing from reading the posts that spare atomizer is also a good idea.

I did ask the guy at work how things worked out for him over the weekend and he was very impressed. He was mad though because this morning he couldn't find where he'd left it 8-o.
We have had many conversations when outside the office on a smke break about how we'd like to quit smoking but hadn't found anything that would work. This really does seem like a viable alternative.

I can Personally Say that The E-cigs Have helped me in lots of ways. Check out some of the Threads i've done.

As of last Friday I have been completely Smoke free (minus My fiancee still smoking) I haven't had the urge to smoke a tobacco cig at all since then. I'm waiting for my Fiancee's order from steve to get in so she can stop too. The Smoke smell is freakin horrible to me now. I can't wait until she stops too.

Also instead of the usb charger you might look into Steve's Usb Passthrough it doesn't require a battery or charger at all Perfect for the Workplace I think..

You can't go wrong with the DSE901 and Steve's customer service is great. On your other post you mentioned getting the USB too. I would, it is great not having to keep charging your batteries throughout the day.

You won't be disappointed with the choices you made.

Remember to post back and let us know how you are liking it...
